On Firefox browser (default release or even Firefox nightly) on Android (release 14 or any earlier) when I share link to Gmail app while on YouTube Web site not YouTube app resultant email has a blank email subject

However above does correctly populate subject when using Chrome or it's derivatives like Bravo browser

I kinda-frequently find myself in the situation that Firefox already downloaded an update, but some time passes before I bit the bullet of actually restarting it. So a new update has appeared - but I can't download it until I restart. So I will have to restart, reload session, download new update, restart again, reload session again.

So it would be great to be able to tell Firefox to forget about the already-downloaded update and just download the latest one. Can this be done?

(The reason why I delay restarting is because I have an unhealthy amount of tabs open, typically with many things in flight; so restarting makes me lose those things, plus there's always the possibility of some trouble while restoring all the tabs)

I am conducting research and Firefox keeps on deleting my browsing history. I have already extended the history limit in the settings and that has not helped. I believe I may have missed a setting. I would like for Firefox to remember my history as long as possible to better aid me in my research.

I have a new (one month old) Lenovo Yoga Book 9i with Win 11 and Thunderbird 115.7.0 (64-bit) installed, using Maildir folders. When opening another tab or window to view another folder (Right click, "Open in New Tab" or "Open in New Window"), the new tab or window opens in the new folder as it should. But so does the original tab/window! Opening further tabs and windows and switching between tabs/ windows and clicking on a new folder in any of the open tabs or windows results in all tabs and windows always being synchronized.  In other words, I cannot view two or more separate e-mail folders. They always all synchronize back to one folder. I can never have two different Thunderbird e-mail folders open at the same time!

Never had an issue like this before on other computers or earlier versions of Win/TB, including the same version of TB set up exactly the same way in Win 10 on another computer. As this is my only Win 11 machine, I cannot test it elsewhere. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a problem with Win 11? Is there a solution, TB config setting perhaps?

The Command+M keyboard shortcut only minimizes Firefox one time after the initial boot of the system and stop working thereafter. Opening the Window menu in the top menu bar and then clicking minimize also fails to minimize Firefox. The only thing that works to minimize the Firefox window is clicking on the minimize bar on the top left of the window.

How do I get COMMAND + M to consistently minimize Firefox?

Hello :) I am using Thunderbird on Fedora 39. I am also using the OWL add-on which I guess is on a trial for the next 30 days.

Anyway; my one and only email account is hosted Exchange (office365) through Rackspace. When I set up Thunderbird to use my email, everything seems to work and work flawlessly with the exception of Contacts.

All of my contacts are listed, but they are all mostly missing their phone numbers and addresses. I have not LOST any data to my knowledge (My mobile devices and three other computers running either Windows 11 or macOS Sonoma still show all of the missing information). My concern is that if this info is missing and I go to put in a new address or phone number in Thunderbird, that I might mistakenly delete information when updating a record when it goes to sync.

Anyone know what is going on?

We recently implemented CatoCloud to update our company's security measures. However, we've encountered an issue where Firefox updates are not possible on PCs configured with CatoCloud. The suspected cause is the TLS Inspection feature. Currently, we've allowed an exception for the entire mozilla.org domain in the TLS Inspection settings to enable Firefox updates.

However, we are concerned that exempting the entire mozilla.org domain might be too broad. We would like to know the specific domains or IP addresses that require exception settings to ensure appropriate configuration. Could you provide guidance on the necessary exception settings for domains or IP addresses related to Firefox updates?

Sorry to trouble you, i recently un-pinned mozila from the task bar by mistake, as its my main browser i re-pinned it from the icon on my desk top, now i have lost all my logins and passwords and some recently saved bookmarks. Would there be a way of recovering them, again sorry to trouble you. Nigel

I have web page that I am printing using different browsers. I have html elements that I have positioned relative and top for each printing page. so that they appear on specific location of print pages.

The positioned elements are just fine in chrome and safari. However in firefox the positioned element is displaying on first page and on second page it is getting hidden (need to add z-index value to show). From third page it is dragging whole content down upto the top position given to element.

Do we have any alternative workaround to position relative elements and top, This is the only issue with firefox.

Hello, Firefox is set as my default browser. However, when I click on a link in an email or website, it always open in Chrome. I cannot get it to open in Firefox. thanks for your help.

After updating Firefox 118.0.2, I loose all my pinned an not pinned tabs! After restarting the updated version, all pinned tabs shows a globe-symbol and the not-pinned tabs where empty. After an additional restart of firefox ALL tabs are gone.

What I tied so far: restoring the Firefox-profile from a backup -> no success. uninstalling firefox and install a fresh (newest) version and restoring the profile -> no success.

The only way to get the tabs back, is to uninstall firefox, restore the profile from backup and install the old version 118.0.2!!

Is there any reason, why this update fails? Is there any way to successful update Firefox, without loosing all my tabs??

For no particualr reason that I can see, all my email subfolders have disappeared today (15 Feb). they were OK yesterday. Very worrying as the filing systems separates and keeps all things I want to keep. Can you help please ? What have I done and can I restore them somehow ? Adrian Simmerson

My Thunderbird just did an auto update and now the new update screen does not show Thunderbird at the top of the page or the usual About options or reinstall a previous version. I lost all of my important folders and my 3 email accounts with their folders. What happened? And, how do I get them back. I cannot even tell what version of this Thunderbird I have now !!!!! Hello, Recently, some attachments, such as photos, are no longer displayed as attachments in Thunderbird. This is not a problem in the mail program on the smartphone. Do you have any idea what setting I need to change to get the attachments displayed again? When I forward the mail, the attachment is displayed in the mail to be sent. I hope you can help me. My wife and I both have our comcast email accounts on the same Thunderbird. Every so often my email{incoming} fails, asking for my password{error 1014}, which doesn't work. S, within TB I some how reset it and we are back in business. This time, I cannot remember how to do it!!!!!!! Can you help? I cannot get my emails or send. My wife's account is somehow fine. This all happened after I replaced my comcast router with a new Comcast router today.

I have been using Thunderbird for more than 15 years, and now everything has gone haywire I have 4 email accounts, of which the primary two are set up as pop accounts. Yahoo is one of the two pop accounts. However, starting Sunday, the yahoo emails would not download, but the other account would. I tried all sorts of things, and now I am having trouble with the other account's emails to download, and when they do, it takes 10 minutes or so for them to download. I am extremely frustrated. Will a reinstall help? Larry
