Since the last update I can´t connect to my yahoo mail. I have tried with my gmail and hotmail mails, and they work fine, just the yahoo one doesn´t get conexion to the server.

I have checked if I could still get in the mail through the yahoo website and I had no problems, so it´s something that has changed with Thunderbird.

Every time I start Thunderbird, I get the "System Integration" notification box even though the "Always perform this check when starting Thunderbird" option is NOT checked. Please let me also clarify, I DO NOT want system integration. Therefore, I have unchecked all boxes that are not greyed out and chose "Skip Integration", since there is not a box for "Do Not Integrate". Can someone please tell me how to stop this aggravating box from continuing to show up, without integrating Thunderbird or resorting to a different email client.

I am running: Operating System: Windows 10 Home Thunderbird: 45.5.0

Ok, last week I migrated my Verizon Email to the new AOL/Verizon email set up. All went smoothly. I was sending and receiving no problem. All of a sudden, I am not sending or receiving. I can get mail from the AOL.Mail site, but can not get from Thunderbird. I have a G.mail Acct using Thunderbird and it works fine. Any idea why the new Verizon/Aol might be stumbling over Thunderbird? When I try to get mail it just hangs, when i try to send i instantly get this message...Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.verizon.net was lost in the middle of the transaction. Try again.

I have been on ATT support all day wo luck. I can receive just fine, but suddenly can no longer send out e-mail. (I can if I go to ATT page directly, but not with Thunderbird). I have had my password on ATT changed - and it acts exactly the same - I can receive but not send. My settings look OK to ATT: outbound.att.net, port 465, SSL/TLS and normal password. Every time I get: "Login to server outbound.att.net failed."

Thank you for any help!!!

I have three email accounts and need to add a fourth, but haven't been able to. When I click the "create a new account > email" button a screen comes up with two buttons, and neither button works. They're 'clickable' in that they change color, but there's no way to move away from this screen and neither button brings up a new window. Once I get here I have to force quit the application to get off this screen.

I'm on mac os 10.12.4, using Thunderbird 52.1.0. I updated thunderbird, uninstalled and reinstalled, and no luck. Any thoughts?

Subject: Account Settings -> Server Settings Occurrence: after update to 52.1.0 (32 bit)

My default setting was unchecked 'Automatically download new messages' and checked 'Fetch headers only'. After automatic update to 52.1.0 I could no longer download full emails from my email server by clicking on 'Download the rest of the message' hyperlink. However option 'Get selected messages' works and is active (available) from the start. I know this bug (inactive 'Get selected messages' after opening of Thunderbird) was on the Mozilla's back burner since ancient times :).

Setting opposite to default: checked 'Automatically download new messages' and unchecked 'Fetch headers only' loads emails without the problem but is potentially unsafe.

Very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have used TB in Linux Debian for several years. Three days ago it was fine. Now suddenly when I try to get messages from my Hotmail account, I get a black window saying something to the effect that the server may be offline. (It disappears too quick to be able to quote it accurately.) But the messages are downloading OK to my smartphone (not using TB). And I have connected directly to the Microsoft Outlook server, and my Hotmail account is up to date. It seems to be a TB problem! I reset the Hotmail account password in TB as suggested on one of the TB sites, but to no avail. I also disabled my firewall, again to no effect. Please can someone help? (Incidentally, when reseting my Password, I stupidly failed to set the option to record it in the TB Password Manager, so it no longer appears there. I would be grateful also to know if the pw. can be added retrospectively to the PW Manager in TB, and if so how it is done.) Tom.

Hi there, I am getting terribly frustrated, desperately appreciate some help!

For over a week now, I can receive emails just fine, but sending fails completely. It has been working for years, but all of a sudden stopped.

Errors include (see images attached).

Have tried numerous SMTP settings and servers.

Using: Mozilla Thunderbird 52.2.1 (and later version, but rolled back to see if problem got fixed.) Windows7 Pro Avast Antivirus BT Fibre to Home

Any help be greatly appreciated. cheers, Chris

P.S. NOTE: One thing to bear in mind, this did occur at similar time of trying the BETA version on the Outlook Mail Website (But that was on a different PC). Maybe a coincidence, but thought I would mention it anyhow.

Additions: I have tried: • disabling my Antivirus. • rolling back Thunderbird several times to previous versions. • testing port allowance through router.

UPDATE - I have just installed the Outlook App on my android phone, set up my POP account, and IT WORKS both incoming and outgoing! So it looks like it's down to just my PC then.

Hello, I recently deleted all my emails by accident, but have read that they are still in the mbox file. I have changed the x-mozilla-status to 0000, and I have broken the file up into six parts to make it editable on VIM.

The file is all over the place... blank lines missing, names missing.... but the file is recognised in Thunderbird and shows a few hundred of the emails...

By dividing up the inbox, each of the smaller files shows about 350 or so emails. But not all. The importing seems to stop after a multi-part mime message... no messages after that are recognised.

I have found python scripts like mboxsplit.py that say they will separate the mbox into individual emails, but it is also not recognising the emails after the mime fault.

Does anyone know of a code that will just recognise the From - line and split that way?

I can't find any splitting solutions that don't try to read messages or understand mboxdr format. I just want to separate text, save as different files.
