Hello everyone,

Why some Wikipedia pages cannot activate reading mode under Debian 12 and Firefox ESR 115.9.1, for example this English Wikipedia page on Emmabuntüs does not allow reading mode to be activated while French, Spanish and German pages can ?

Is there a utility to test pages compatible with reading mode?

Or otherwise in which Firefox log file to see if a page is compatible or not?

I was looking for an item that would be a couple of years back in my history, only to discover that my history now only goes back a year and 3 months… Exactly, as of today, I don't know if that's meaningful. Does anyone have any idea what might've happened, and how I can restore the rest of my history? Thank you!

I'm on a Mac using Mojave, with Firefox version 115.8.

I am unable to get printing to work correctly using Firefox with Epson POS TM-T20 thermal printers we have a work.

We're currently running Firefox on Debian 12. I've tried both the ESR version that comes with the Debian repository and the latest Firefox as a flatpak.

When printing to the receipt printer, the only thing that is printed is the left-hand most part of the logo and a little part of the text and this occurs towards the right-hand side of the paper. I've changing all of the settings, resetting the settings for the print in about:config, but nothing seems to work.

I'd love to get this working so that staff could use Firefox. I'm attaching an image of what the print job looks like and a screenshot of what the print-preview shows.

Using 115.10.1 and POP on Windows 10 Pro (v. 22H2) with just the Windows built-in virus protection enabled (but App or Browser Control is disabled). Platform seems stable, no evidence of nefarious services noted in task manager.

Realized the emails in InBox from a couple of days ago (and going back decades) were blank or had mismatched headers to content. Figured an index problem. Ran the Repair under 'InBox' folder Properties, and only a few of the most recent emails remain - all duplicates of which I had sorted into other folders.

All the other folders are fine - just my InBox got wiped! Looked in the Thunderbird folder under profiles and saw the above captioned with a time-stamp that captures the approximate time this went down - occum's razor. I did not initiate any update to Thunderbird.

Walking on eggshells and very nervous, we're talking thousands of emails, what is the recommended recovery of the InBox (after I attempt to backup what I have left). Thanks!

I don't want to be able to scroll the page by selecting text. That's what the scroll wheel is for. More often than not this 'feature' just results in frustration as scrolling the page selects more text. Can I just disable this altogether somehow?

I have not had access to my email since the April 18 Thunderbird update, receiving this error message: "After changing password on an IMAP account, the account could become locked due to too many failed login attempts" How do I fix it? I got this error message and don't know what to do with it. All the other subs under gmail (sent, all mail, etc) are fine. No current inbound gmail displays under "inbox," though it does in "all mail." While checking by using gmail app, everything seems fine. How can I reopen or repopulate my inbox? Thanks.

I am unable to reach Facebook on both Firefox and Waterfox.

Other browsers (Opera, Edge, Chrome) are able to access Facebook.

I can access other Meta-owned sites (Messenger.com, Instagram, Threads) on Firefox and Waterfox.

This issue exists on both my desktop (Windows 10) and laptop (Windows 11).

This issue does not apply to Firefox for iOS or the Facebook app.

All apps and OS's mentioned are up to date.

This has been going on for over a week now.

Several instances of this "verification.exe" malware appear on download history when firefox is opened as shown. Remove from history or clear downloads doesn't eliminate them. They reappear whenever firefox is opened.

Suggestions to eliminate this nuisance welcome.

I installed Firefox on a new Dell laptop and imported the bookmarks from FF on old laptp. On my old laptop things are OK. On the new laptop Firefox will ONLY store new bookmarks in the Recently Book... folder, no matter how many times I choose a specific folder from the Location dropdown, even if I only choose Bookmarks Menu without subfolder. Show Editor is checked. I have to manually move new bookmarks from Recently Book..... This is annoying. Can you help? I have not found a forum with this question.

When I scan any QR code it goes to a Firefox start page instead of the site the code it’s written to. I suspect it is a changed preference since this used to work fine. What should I check?

I've been having issues with the websites that I commonly go to no longer appear on the autosuggest list. Websites I haven't gone to for ten years appear when I type in a given sequence rather than more common ones. Website that I go to every day no longer appear.

I follow the "clear all.." and nothing changes. How can I start anew and have FF re-learn my url history?

My Thunderbird v. 115.10.1 (32-bit) Been using TB forever w/ GMail accounts Primary E-Mail is missing folders and has duplicate folders, one [Gmail] is inside the Inbox another is outside. Has [Sent] Doesn't appear to contain anything in either Junk and Trash folders. But, they do when I open GMail in my browser. My secondary E-Mail has no [Gmail] folder but does have Sent Mail, All Mail, Junk, Spam, Trash (empty), Trash and 3 that I created. This E-mail seems to function more completely. Is there a "repair install" a file to edit or something else to get me back to 100% operational? Can send folder properties if helpful. Image attached.

I have been struggling with slowness in Thunderbird in recent months (Windows 11, mid-range Lenovo laptop). There is often a distinct lag during even the smallest operations.

Examples are: selecting an email, closing a tab, typing, calendar events editing.

TB process in Windows usually uses 1000MB RAM. RAM is around 60-70% usage usually. I never have the same slowness issues with other applications.

I tried quite a bit: safe mode testing, removing extensions, compacting folders and more tips. I ended up removing Thunderbird and my profile entirely, and reinstalled the latest version with an empty profile. I just set up my Gmail and other email account. No extensions installed, yet still the same issue.

Could it be that something is still there from a previous install, if I removed my profile?

I've been using Thunderbird in Linux and Windows for years with moderate issues that I was able to resolve, but am now really puzzled. Please help.
