I used the Export tool thinking All my email files would be exported, not true! Only your "Profile" is exported! The export tool does not include your "Local" folder! This is wrong! The export tool should export everything! "The best way to learn -- is learn the Hard Way" -mdc

I don’t understand what Firefox is doing. For example, I used to start typing the first few letters of “weather.com”, which I visit pretty much daily, and it would auto fill “weather.com”. Now it auto fills every time with http://www.weatherbase.com/. I don’t know where that came from. Similarly, I used to type the first few letters of “duckduckgo.com” and it would bring up “duckduckgo.com”. Now it brings up a magnifying glass below the url with “Search with duckduckgo”. I am thinking it might be best if I can start over, i.e. clear out any information it’s saved about where it thinks I want to go, and start remembering the sites I am entering now.

I received a message with the remark "This message contains an invitation to an event." What follows is several screens of metadata (that's what I think it's called), followed by the original note from the sender. Is there a way for me to suppress all this metadata? When I forward the message to a friend who has an iPad, it shows up without the metadata. I'd like that to be the situation when I use Thunderbird.

I've attached a screen shot of a portion of what I've called "metadata". I didn't include the very top of this metadata because it contains personal data.

I want to search a local folder and all its subfolders using eg "Match all of the following" but I could not find how to get a search containing these modes. After over half an hour I have found that the term I was looking for is "advanced search", available via a keyboard shortcut. I cannot possibly remember keyboard shortcuts, why do I have to log on to my Mozilla account just to find out how to do it? There should be a comprehensive user manual that I can download for looking up this sort of thing offline?

Each time I open Thunderbird email, a page on firefox opens requesting a donation. This has been going on for weeks. I reached out to Thunderbird, and all suggestions have failed to resolve the problem. Most recently I was instructed to submit the problem here. I hope this is sufficient for requesting assistance. This question was asked before but no one gave a reasonable answer. I use Thunderbird to download emails from two live.com accounts. The old version had a split screen with the list of emails for the account being viewed in the top half and a preview of the actual email being viewed in the bottom half along with action buttons such as delete. This supposedly also kept viruses from being downloaded until the email was actually downloaded. This made deleting a series of emails very easy. The version I downloaded today doesn't have the split screen. I have to actually open each email to delete it. Very time consuming. How can I set up the old format in the new version?

In my Firefox email when I click on an email it opens to the entire page, but then if I want to get back to see the "Inbox" with the accounts and various folders I have created it seems the only way to do it is to scroll back on the line at the top which sometimes is short but literally sometimes takes a very long time and I don't know how close I'm getting, or I have to go up and click on the little contents box in the upper left corner, click on something else, like calendar or tasks to get out of email and then click on the contents box again and click on email. There has to be an easier way???

Hello. I have an issue with Firefox. Last week Facebook stopped showing images when run on Firefox. These are in the Feed and photos, etc. I tried refreshing, clearing cookies, history and cache. I changed enhanced tracking but nothing stops this. Are there any suggestions to repair this or could it be a bug? I work on Windows 10. Please help.

Firefox seems to forget edits made to text boxes. I was reading a large pdf and adding notes to previously made text boxes. I thought I must be going crazy as I saw there was no notes I thought I had already made multiple times so I tested it. I edited a text box, scrolled a bit and continued browsing on another monitor. Checked in a minute and boom edit gone. If anyone has a solution I'd appreciate it as I have been using Firefox PDF editor for a bit and quite liked it until now.

Today while using firefox all my open tabs and windows crashed. Due to the situation, I had to restart my computer because everything was stuck. When it restarted I couldn't restore the previous session so I used various methods to restore it but I still can't restore the windows and tabs that were open today. I would like you to restore my session from before the failure today.

My Firefox browser recently updated to 115.11.0esr (64-bit), and now embedded videos won't play, I can initially see a picture, but instead of starting to play, the screen turns dark green and I can only hear the sound. This happened once before recently, but then it seemed to fix itself after a week or two. How can this be fixed?

I have looked around the Internet for similar issues, but most of them appear to address the moronic F11 full-screen problem. I'd be grateful to know if a 'tabs bar' option remains in FF126, and if so, how to enable it. Many thanks.

My Firefox is the most recent version 126. I am having trouble with pop-ups being blocked. I have added the website to the pop-up exception list. When I go to the site, it shows me the little icon showing I have added exceptions for this site. However; the pop-up still gets blocked.

The site is: https://www.foxit.com/ I try clicking the Log In drop down then Foxit Account. Before this would pop-up the log in screen for the site but since version 125, it does not. I just updated to version 126 to see if that resolved it before creating this post but it didn't. Thus I am here trying to get help.

For the past three months I have not received any e mails on my i phone from Thunderbird. I get them on my computer but not on my i phone. My provider is Shaw and I have been in touch with them but they said to contact you. I don't understand why I suddenly quit getting the e mails on my phone. I need to receive them as I need access to e mails on my phone soon, as I am out of town and have no computer where I spend the summer.

I seem to have lost the search bar that allowed me to find certain emails in specific folders. I am now left with the one that searches all my email folders. Why? How do I get it back?
