My volume on Youtube is often too low. Some time back I got a java script that fixed it. I had to do an F12 and paste it in somewhere and then I got a little rectangle at top left which said something like 'volume'. Click on that and up went the volume. Click again, up more and so on. It was good. Sometimes on things like perhaps Bitchute it wouldn't work. It would actually switch all the volume off. I'd refresh the page to fix that. Anyway: it suddenly disappeared today. The little rectangle is gone. I can't up my volume on Youtube any more. I got something from the web, a javascript, and pasted it into 'console' after F12 but i got error messages. I'm clueless. Don't know where to look for my original, see if it still there. Don't know how to troubleshoot. Don't know any other way to get the volume up. See error message on the console whenever I go there, don't know what to do about them. FYI I'll post the first few lines of them: Unknown property ‘-moz-osx-font-smoothing’. Working on a desktop with Windows 11. Problem is: search bar at top of my Firefox only intermittently brings up results. I can type something in there and it appears to be searching, but nothing comes up. Occasionally, if I hit it again it will bring something up, but not often. Google is the browser.

I want to import everything from avast secure browser, but ASB does not show in the browsers option. Is there a roundabout way to import everything(passwords, bookmarks etc)?

I recently installed Firefox 102.0.1 64-bit on a new WinX laptop. Using the same link as always (http://www.henderson.lib.nc.us/) I am unable to connect with my county library. I'm not having trouble with other sites. The error message says

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.hendersoncountync.gov. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

I turned off HTTPS-Only Mode but the problem persisted. I also tried entering this site as an exception for HTTPS-Only but that didn't help. Even after restarting the computer, Firefox continues to reset the URL to HTTPS from HTTP. My wife was able to access this website on her desktop WinX with Firefox and no problem. On my WinX desktop with Firefox I connected to https://www.hendersoncountync.gov/library instantly.

Is the HTTPS-Only Mode sticky? What am I missing?

I use/like the randomly-generated 'strong' password feature, but is there a setting/option to have it include one or more special character(s)? So many sites nowadays require one, and VERY few *prohibit* them. I know I can 'substitute' one in there, but I'm VERY lazy! Thanks.

My fb account has been hacked. When I try to follow the procedure for regaining control provided by facebook, I get a pop-up window which asks for a security key via windows/mozilla. I don't know what this is or where to find it. Can you help?

I received a file this morning or yesterday that states its a firefox file called _I7zEKnU. Was that from firefox? I'm concerned my computer might be compromised. Thank you.

Hi I'm developer and i develop a site and when i QA it all are good in other browsers expect Firefox,some colors are different in Firefox,images are not displaying, in text fields there are little arrow icons, widths & heights sucks in some content why the hell is that i think Firefox is suck now i have to wast time to write other CSS file when some one comes with Firefox that need to change content.

(*this always fails).

This is only an issue on my laptop. If I use another computer I can access the website without issue.

I got a phishing e-mail on my mail.yahoo.com webmail interface. I deleted it but immediately received the following warning from Bitdefender:

Kinda weird that an e-mail where I didn't click any link is still able to manipulate my browser like that!

I have used Firefox for years. I am computer literate and do not like the newer approach Firefox has taken to save all downloads to my downloads folder. I have to continually go in and manually delete the files.

For instance, I have a lot of pdf forms that I have to open directly in Acrobat, those files are then duplicated and saved in my downloads. This is causing a mess for me.

This was NOT an improvement in my opinion. Is there a way to stop this???

I have the issue that when I enter a website that is in English, I sometimes get a little Google translator pop-up at the top which asks me to translate the page. As I am fully fluent in English, I would like to disable this but the option "Disable for English" does not seem to do anything, as this keeps happening. I can disable it for an individual website but I would like to disable it completely.

I'm also confused because within Firefox I have only selected US English as a preferred language. My laptop itself is set to German.

I don't have any translator add-ons installed and can't figure out where this pop-up even comes from, let alone how to fully disable it.

If anyone could help, I'd be very grateful!

i updated firefox yesterday and since then i have had nothing but problems. it freezes, hangs, stops responding and basically wont work. if i click on a tab, it wont open. if im typing in something on a website, it stops typing. if i try to close firefox, i cannot. i have restarted firefox as well as my computer a dozen times. NOTHING WORKS!!! This is a serious problem for me. Short of uninstalling firefix and installing a different browser, what do i do?
