I'm pretty sure Firefox behavior on redirects used to present an option to "allow for this site." But if it did, that is now gone. There is only "allow." It allows once, and the next time you visit the same site, you have to allow again. And again. And again. Since one of these sites is the enrollment management system for my college, something I access literally hundreds of times each semester, this is fantastically annoying. I know how to turn off redirection altogether, but that seems like a blunderbuss solution. Most of the time, I like that warning. I just want to allow exceptions. Is there any way to do this?

When I try to play a video on Firefox desktop, it takes it a long time to load. Once it has loaded, whenever I pause it for more than a few seconds, or if I try to skip around the video (either by clicking around in the loaded section of the progress bar or using +/- seconds buttons), the video begins buffering again before the video resumes. This makes it extremely difficult and frustrating to watch anything that requires me to pause, rewind, or fast forward. I've noticed this issue affect multiple video viewing sites, such as YouTube, Vimeo, and Netflix. My roommate also uses Firefox, but doesn't have this issue, so I know it's not a problem with my internet. I thought it might be a problem with my computer, but I tried to replicate the issue in Chrome and everything worked fine there. The issue has persisted almost a week. I have:

• Rebooted my computer several times
• Deleted my history/cache
• Disabled my extensions
• Turned off Java scripts in firefox (this disabled my ability to load sites like YouTube completely, so I turned it back on)
• Updated my computer
• Updated my graphics drivers
• Refreshed firefox
• Uninstalled and reinstalled firefox (and rebooted my computer)
• Uninstalled and reinstalled firefox AND deleted all the data it stored on my computer (and rebooted my computer)

I am currently using version 123.0.1 of Firefox. My OS is Windows 10 22H2.

Upon initial setup, Thunderbird says the ISP is recognized and auto-populates all the settings. Well of course these settings don't work and I'm unable to log in and receive some sort of message saying it didn't work. If I login using a browser via cellphone, I'm provided with the list of settings to use with email clients which is as follows:

Domain: @hot.rr.com SSL: On for SMTP and IMAP Protocol: IMAP Incoming Server: mail.twc.com Incoming Server Port: 993 Outgoing Server: mail.twc.com Outgoing Server Port: 587 Requires Authentication: Yes, or checked

Using these settings in manual configuration results in receiving the "Thunderbird Failed To Find the Settings For Your Email Account" message. The only difference between the settings that were auto-populated and the settings provided by logging in via web browser on a cellphone are the incoming/outgoing servers. Auto-population had them as mobile.charter.net, and they're listed as mail.twc.com by the email provider to use with email clients.

I'm trying to solve this problem for someone else and they happen to have the same email domain as me so I can fiddle with it without having to be at their computer with their passwords, etc. Presumably if I'm able to find the solution it will work for both of us. I don't normally use Thunderbird or any other email client, I just use web based email but they prefer to use a client. However, I'm doubtful that it will work considering the fact that settings provided by the email provider don't work.

Cox has tranferred my email accounts to Yahoo. I need to know how to connect back to Thunderbird. Had a discussion on your FB group with ANJE YELF.. She said to leave a message here and she would get back to me on how to do that. I have imap.

I am using the apt version of firefox v125.0.2 (64-bit). I do not have a dedicated GPU - I use my intel core's internal gpu only Intel Corporation HD Graphics 620 (rev 02).

I used to play this game named narrow.one, which before I reinstalled the mentioned libraries, was working fine except for crashing a few times. I thought these libraries were causing some issue, so I tried reinstalling them.

I reinstalled the libraries using: `sudo apt install --reinstall --fix-missing libgl1* libegl*`

After installation, I start getting that error. So, I tried reinstalling firefox (using the same command), and then restarting the laptop - but of no use. Chrome seems to be running WebGL, including the game.

In firefox, on the https://get.webgl.org/ page, I see Hmm. While your browser seems to support WebGL, it is disabled or unavailable. If possible, please ensure that you are running the latest drivers for your video card.

After that, I also tried reinstalling `libopengl0` and `libglu1-mesa` and `intel-microcode`, but of no use. Running although, `sudo intel_gpu_top` and then chrome, it seems that the GPU is in use by chrome as well.

I then go to about:support. It shows me the images I have attached. Reading the logs, there several `blocklisted` values in `Decision Log` section. I suspect that's the cause of this issue, but then I don't know how can I un-blocklist the blocklisted things, and even after that, why does Chrome runs webgl if these are blocklisted?

I do not know much about OpenGL, but reading the above stuff, I suppose my GPU is in use and also has a compatible driver (although I am not sure).

Also, running `glxdemo`, `glxheads`, and `glxgears` seems to be rendering stuff.

Should I reinstall firefox after purging it first? Please help.

I am not sure when exactly problem started but for few months I have problem with automatic update of firefox. It properly detects update and downloads it but when I click to restart browser and apply update (this should close browser and display update install bar) nothing happens - browser simply closes. When I launch it again and go into "about firefox" again I see spinning circle next to "installing update". Of course this update never installs. When I close it for 2nd time and go into "about firefox" it goes back to "update ready to install, click to restart" - and again, when I click it browser simply closes without restarting and installing update. I tried removing my profile, using safe mode, disabling antivirus. Issue seems to be related to firefox itself. I also tried removing mozilla maintenance service but it did not help. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? For now only way for me to update firefox is manually download full installer from website and then it installs latest version without any problems - until next month comes and I have to update it again.

I have a dark themed website with light colored lable that is positioned inside the input field and having the autofill to autocolor the input's background yellow makes things look horrendous. I've tried the following CSS:

On top of that, I tried changing that for myself in about:config changing ui.-moz-autofill-background to false, but after clearing browser cache and doing a hard-refresh, the yellow autofill background color persists.

That would be a personal fix, but I would rather firefox not murder the theme of my site for others and let me have control of what color the autofill background color should be (if I even want there to be a difference in colors). Am I missing something? I don't simply want to turn that off for myself (although I still want to, but it didn't work). I want to change it for everyone visiting my site. (Like I'm able to change the colors of link or border colors or background colors of other elements).

I've tried almost EVERYTHING offered to enable restore the "open previous windows and tabs" function ... to no avail. Very frustrating since I usually leave important tabs open for work. HELP!

It didn't, not always. Over the years, there have been times when the issue would still pop up, but not as often as before (2022 and earlier).

I have a feeling that during an issue, FF is having difficulty setting up shop after starting up. Consequently, it is spending more time before it could become prepared to connect to the Net. I've come up with another "solution," which is deleting (or moving out) xulstore.json in the profile folder after exiting or before starting FF. You can create a batch command or script to execute the process.

So far, FF is connecting immediately after startup.

I want to single space my out going messages. I changed the paragraph setting from body text to paragraph format, this temporarily fixed it but it went back to double spacing

I am trying to have a biometric authorization with touch ID on Mac, and it says on the website that the option should pop up when i go to the password settings, but it doesn't, and I don't know how to do it otherwise, or if I should use an extension for example. Hello, I am running Ubuntu 22.04 (Firefox v 121.0) on a custom PC. Ryzen 5700G, 32GB Ram, 2TB Storage, and a Radeon RX 580 (just to give some insight into the system in case it is useful). I use multiple mozilla services and haven't had many issues up until now. Everytime I open Firefox it immediately it fires right up, the moment I try to open a tab, search, etc.. it begins to lag. It will then freeze the browser and my entire PC soon follows suit. I have had to hard reset the PC about 3 times now. I originally had the snap version installed and thought that installing the deb package would fix the issue. I completely uninstalled the snap version and turned off unattended installations in case the system tried to reinstall the snap. I then installed the deb package and fired it up again, only to have the same issue. I have ruled out a couple of things on my end. I entered Firefox Safe Mode and unchecked all of my extensions (the only ones I run are Ublock, Bitwarden, and Relay). I ran a mem test and have been monitoring Psensor to ensure the CPU wasn't overheating (both of these tests were fine). I also scanned my entire PC to ensure I did not have any viruses (clamscan reported no viruses). I have been running my PC for about an hour now without starting Firefox and using Chrome, and I have had no issues with freezing or anything similar to what happened with Firefox. Not sure where to go from here. I love using Firefox and would love to get back to surfing as soon as possible! Any tips/help would be greatly appreciated! PS I could not find any logs about the session. I looked in ~/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/events and couldn't find anything. If there is another place they are stored let me know and I would be happy to send them. I just don't want to open Firefox until I feel it is safe for my PC.

I forgot to add: I disabled hardware acceleration as well, did not fix the issue.

I have a few questions about the storage space used by Firefox v60.00 on Android 6.0.

Data however is using up a large amount of space (1.3GB).

uBlock origin version 1.16.6 is the only plugin/addon I have installed.

I don't have any downloads.

By comparison Chrome browser on my phone takes up less than 100MB of storage space.

What is a normal clean install size for firefox on Android ?

What is deleted if I clear the 1.3GB of Data? Will my bookmarks be deleted. Will uBlock origin be deleted (my only installed plugin).

How can I backup my bookmarks to a file?

How do I determine what is using up all this storage space in Firefox, and prevent it from happening again?

I have thunderbrird on both my laptop and computer, i got home, and did my normal, and on my computer it come up with Authentication Failed, its only doing it on the computer, but no the laptop, i have version 115.4.1, on both, but howcome it only doing it on the computer not the laptop? should i re-install on the computer?? or is their another way to fix this problem?

Yesterday I deleted the All Mail file of my Gmail account by accident on my iPhone while away from my computer. When I got back to my computer I discovered that this had chewed through a lot of my files and I had many empty files including some which were archived in Thunderbird so should have been saved on my computer. No problem I thought, I will undelete files using webmail but when I went into Gmail webmail I found that I didn't have many messages left. In my backup file which I checked in Thunderbird offline, I had about 24,000 messages but could only find about 4,000 on the webmail account. As soon as I went online with Thunderbird, the messages in my backup began deleting to match the online situation. So I have a number of questions.

How did deleting the All Mail file on my phone somehow affect my archived messages stored in Thunderbird in my local files? I suspect they are part of the same string that makes up All Mail but should somehow be separated.

Notwithstanding that issue, the main problem is how I can use my back up to repopulate the online Gmail string so I don't continually get the truncated Gmail which is revealed in my webmail. Is it possible to reverse ImapMail so that the web Gmail matches my backup rather than the usual reverse situation? In the meantime, I can use my account at the cost of losing messages every time I go online but I need to recover from this situation fast.

This is probably a mess of my own making, having been lazy about back ups. My laptop threw a critical error at me just before Christmas and I could only fix it by doing a reset and reload of Windows 10. (I think it may have been a partial HDD corruption) I selected the option to retain personal data files etc, but the reload wiped almost all my installed programs, including Thunderbird. Documents, etc folders have all survived. I re-installed the latest Thunderbird and it is working fine. However, I appear to have lost my Local Folders (as well as my address book) Not a life-or-death matter, but I would prefer to recover them, if possible. I have an "..@tiscali.co.uk" (TalkTalk) email account, with IMAP settings on the incoming mail and SMTPS on "sent" items. I can see all incoming emails that are still on the server, but the "sent" items folder is empty. All local folders and contents are gone. I have read up on the Thunderbird Profile and understand that it is separate from the program folder. I have used the "Help>Troubleshooting>..." feature to find that my current profile is "zqx......default-release". Using file search, it also indicates that there is another profile file, "k32....j5.default", in the same area. Both have creation dates corresponding to the reload time. I cannot find anything similar in the "Windows.old" folder that was created at the time of the reload. Is it possible that the folder contents are still in the HDD and it is just the file address that is lost? Thanks. Neil
