I am trying to sync to computers to the same firefox, bookmarks, passwords etc.

When I ask for a link, I get an e-mail that says click the link below but there is no link

I have an old Lenovo tablet running Firefox 68.11 in Android Kitkat (4.4)

This device has never synced before, and as you know Mozilla, for reasons known only to themselves, never made a simple bookmark export in the Android app.

My attempts to set up a sync has also failed, access to https://accounts.firefox.com is apparently inaccessible, the page never loads, except for the logo you can see below.

Am I just out of luck?

I am trying to sync my desktop Firefox data to my Android phone, a Samsung Galaxy S21+. In every help topic I read, it says to click the three dots on Android, go to settings and click "Sync and save data," then click "Ready to scan" and scan the QR code provided from my desktop account. The issue I am running into is that the "Sync and save data" option does not exist on my Firefox Android app. If I click on my profile on the phone, I can click "Sync" but it doesn't do anything. It does not work if I try to scan the QR code through the phone camera instead. I am at a loss for how to sync my Mozilla account on these two devices. My Firefox app is up to date. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.

Full scenario: Computer had some issues, so I set up Windows Backup/Restore to a point just before resetting it, saving that data to an external drive. Then, I reset Windows, choosing the option that lets you keep your files (most of them it looks like) while it reinstalls everything else.

I knew it'd wipe Firefox and I'd need to reinstall it, but when I synced my account, it didn't have logs. The logs are archives of various chats on a website I used to talk to friends. I know those used to be accessible through Firefox's directory under Program Files by checking the data saved for that website (something I had to do once before to remove corrupted logs), but that data obviously wouldn't be there now.

I should've considered this beforehand but I had no idea that data for different websites might not be included in a sync. It does have files for Firefox but I decided not to touch them, since I'd already synced and I didn't know if reverting to that Backup might break Firefox somehow. Or worse, cause me to lose MORE data.

Question now is, what's the chance those might be in that backup I saved? More specifically, data stored about websites I visited.

Good morning. I recently changed smartphone, activating Firefox Sync between both devices, making sure that the old one didn't have the setting that makes open tabs inactive. Now after a week I don't see anymore synchronized tabs with the old smartphone. How can I solve it? Thanks, Phil.

I made sure everything was synced and my account logged in prior to reinstalling windows. I log into the same account and nothing is there. Help! How can I recover the bookmarks and history that are clearly selected in my profile?

I accidentally cleared the Firefox app's data while my account was still logged in and now all of my account data is completely gone. Am I just done for or is there a way to get this back?

This has been brought up before, but not with this exact question (not that I could find, at least).

I understand that cookies cannot be synced across devices, but this is not what I am asking for. Is there a way to make firefox sync the list of exceptions? Meaning, only the specified website URL and its status, not the cookies from these sites.

I've had no issues with Firefox Sync on desktop but frequent issues on Android.

Yesterday, it failed in a different way, announcing that I needed to sign into Sync. I've tried a dozen times yesterday and today using both QR scan and email confirmation. All fail in various ways. For example:

• After scanning QR code: "500 Error Oh dear, something went wrong there"
• After scanning QR code: "Pairing not successful. Error while creating the pairing channel"
• After scanning QR code and approving on mobile device and desktop, desktop says success, but phone stays on "Approval now required from your other device" Interestingly this page isn't open in the normal browser. If I click the three dot menu, it says "POWERED BY FIREFOX, Open in Firefox"
• After going through all the steps and it saying "You're signed into Firefox," yet when I go to share a tab, it asked me to sign in.

Any tips on getting Firefox Sync to work? I don't see any troubleshooting sections in the online help articles.

I've searched, but I haven't found anything to help with this particular situation ...

I love Firefox/Mozilla Sync and I use it a lot, but I've recently had a desire/need to set up a scenario that some may think perculiar - let me set the scene ...

• Work PC running Firefox - 1 profile
• Work VDI running Firefox - 1 profile
• Work laptop running Firefox - 2 profiles (work & personal)

Mainly for the sake of sending tabs to the appropriate Firefox profile on the laptop, I want/need to be able to config things in Sync to treat those 2 profiles as being different entities. Currently, it appears that all profiles on a device (or within the same user profile on a Windows computer) are treated as the same entity by Sync.

Any ideas on how to achieve what if trying to do? Is it possible with Firefox/Mozilla Sync?

BTW., for clarity, if it matters, the devices listed above are all Windows. FWIW., I also use FF on Android and Linux ... and MacOS.

you dont need a screenshot. its reral simple i am tired of nothing working right. i have added multiple wallets on my phantom app but it doesnt show up on my phantom wallet on my laptop. i have been hitting check for updates for 2 hours. why wont it update. and if i have to put in a 24 word secret phrase evertime i want to update my extension. then good bye firefox. then why have a check fofr updates button.

I have Mac, Windows, and Linux boxes. All show connected to Firefox Sync, however, bookmarks etc are only actually in sync between Windows and Linux. I've tried logging out on all devices, resetting passwords, reinstalling FF on the Mac. Can't seem to get it to work.
