I have two different email accounts in Thunderbird. For the last few days, my Yahoo mail will not download. I can go to Yahoo, but prefer not to. My other account will download.

Thunderbird in Linux has worked perfectly for me for many year. This is my first ever problem with emails not downloading through Thunderbird.

What could be the problem?

Since i have changed my primary email (the last primary became the secondary) i can't no more sign-in to "firefox relay" or "paid subscription" from my account. So I'm correctly logged in https://accounts.firefox.com/ but from there i can't connect to others services. I have this message :

Menu: Third-Party Login Failure An error occurred while attempting to login via your third-party account.

It a little bi annoying when you have paid subscription...

Mozilla firefox debian package 157.0.1

I am on Pop OS. I ran some update and restarted and all of my tabs are gone and Firefox is not showing any history of them. I was under the impression that if I had an account it would keep track of the history but there is nothing there. How does this happen and why? Also how can I get my tabs back I am one of those people that has like 50 tabs open So I can run several things at once I never had this issue with goggle but for some reason it happens often with Firefox what gives?

Does FF have a maximum number of windows / tabs that can be open at one time? I use 12 workspaces each with multiple windows / tabs in them, roughly guessing ~100 windows and ~8-50 tabs per window

FF randomly hangs / crashes 1-3 times a day for me and has been for some time (over multiple revisions of FF; currently 157.0.1) requiring restarting FF

System: Large workstation, 128G memory, i9-7920x (12c / 24T) Linux, OpenSuSE Leap 15.6 FF source from FF repos, not OpenSuSE

Any settings I need to change to prevent the crashes?

I'm using Thunderbird on Ubuntu 24 and have some messages in some mailboxes that have lost their headers. I'm trying to fix them.

Early (1980's command line mail & mailx) mbox files were pure text with messages delimited by a blank line followed by a line starting with 'From ' (or possibly 'From: '). When I open a Thunderbird mbox file in 'vi' it is 'converted', or so it says. I'm wondering what this 'conversion' is and why it's needed.

Please could someone tell me what the strict rule that delimits messages in a Thunderbird mbox file is, and what is it that 'vi' cannot handle that requires 'conversion'?

Installed new Linux OS, forgot password to profile when opening firefox, created new password, logged into my Profile which has the correct user picture, but all my passwords and bookmarks are gone. ( I want to cry man..)

I want to have a specific page open when I use the alt+home shortcut (or my keyboard's "home" media key). I know I can do this via the Home Page dropdowns, but that affects new pages and/or tabs. I want those to open blank pages, and only the keyboard shortcut to take me to my desired "home" page. Is this possible?

Hi; I use Firefox on my phone and my laptop both. In my laptop (Lecoo pro 14, Ubuntu 26.04) in a domain range browser gives me security alarm and don't let me get in. This is normal but when I use other browser in my laptop or Firefox on my phone (s25 ultra) there is no problem at all and it works well! I tried all things. run commands like: sudo snap remove --purge firefox | sudo snap install firefox, sudo apt search firefox/mozilla and than reinstall all installed packages and clear all caches on settings. But none of them worked. Thanks for your responsibility and making such great open-source app.

There is apparently a bug in the latest release of Thunderbird, which has broken the callbacks for Yahoo! IMAP email using OAuth. Potentially, it may actually be a problem with Yahoo!, and how https://api.login.yahoo.com is attempting to reopen Thunderbird after logging in, as the process has changed. I've already reverted back to the ESR Thunderbird channel once, but on a recent update the issue was reintroduced. Screenshots are included.

I have been having random crashes Firefox Snap on Kubuntu 24.04 (and now 26.04). Sometimes Firefox will run stably for over an hour, sometimes it will crash in less then a minute from (re-)launch. I have tried the usual troubleshooting steps of 'run in troubleshoot mode', 'refresh', disable plugins, but the crashing seems to happen even when running in troubleshoot mode. I also have not been able to figure out any kind of event or user-action that triggers the crash; it might happen while browsing, it might happen while I am not even at my computer. At first I thought 'the Devs will handle this', but it has been some 6 months so I think my case is not very common/pressing to the community. I'd like to take a more proactive approach in solving the problem. I am still a novice at software fixing, so I might have skipped or missed a very basic step in the '10 things to try to fix Firefox'.

FireFox Browser Crashing from Multiple Windows with Dual Monitors causing memory crashes in gnome.

google chrome used to have a brower extension called "The Great Suspender" to stop these crashes. If firefox can't figure this out I am not going to continue using firefox and go back to chrome.

Is there a method to export my emails in EML format instead of Mbox without using third-party software? Are there any settings in the configuration editor that could change the default Mbox format?

I am having this issue since Firefox 155.0.1 or a bit earlier (but overall rather recently) and I still encounter it with 156.

When a web page has a web form that performs a POST request without changing the URL, the behavior seems to have changed. Let's assume I have done the following:

1. I navigated to an overview page (GET https://example.com/overview). 2. I clicked on a link to a page with a form (GET https://example.com/formpage). 3. I filled out and submitted the form (POST https://example.com/formpage).

Now, when I click the Back button,

• previously, I was returned to the page with the form (GET https://example.com/formpage)
• now, I am returned to the overview page (GET https://example.com/overview)

Can I somehow return to the previous behavior?

I was very frustrated that in 156.0.1 (157 as of today) on Arch there is no option to minimize to tray when closing. Now i do not know what is the cause of this, but i was unable to find any working solution ... FOR A PROBLEM SOLVED ~12 YEARS AGO >:(. Eventually resigned to system solution using SysTray-X which eventually worked.
