I don't want to automatically check if Firefox is the latest version and as one person complained "It keeps asking you if you want to update ten times a day". I want it (the firefox prompt) to be able to inform me a maximum of

     2. Once a week
     3. Once a month

with frequency set at a rate which is adjustable. D. I LOST all my data stored in the various TABS because on reboot (on the mac air), the Firefox (102) changed to a later version (103) and LOST all my Tab information and History!!

As I am not a typical American pervert who is ashamed of looking at various sites and thus is afraid of someone finding out what he has viewed: I do NOT need to erase History. WHY would anyone wish to erase all the evidence of the work they have spent the day doing? I NEVER erase history as I wish to keep a record of the various methods I have used in educating the uninformed, so that we ALL at some point can become enlightened. THUS, the clear DATE (WHICH INCLUDES TIME!!!) should show the very second that I logged on to each particular address. It is hence SIMPLE to see where we have wasted most of our time and therefore LEARN to avoid those sites (typically American) in future, since they have a common SOURCE (USA land where most people live in wooden huts yet use the most resources).

Now, set that in front of your team of experts around the globe to play with for the next year and come back when you have got the BASICS right!!! I running Windows11 on a new HP laptop. Out of blue, I am unable to send any picture files attached to my emails. There is no problem sending *.pdf or *.doc files but *.jpg, *gif and *.png files are rejected due to "suspected spam" (is what the messge reads).

I've tried different platforms, e.g., iPhone, and windows laptop, and different email accounts. My email provider, Hughes, tells me it must be the particular files, however it is doubtful that my entire collection of family pictures are somehow now spam. I have scanned my entire hard drive for malware, virus and the usual (Kasperky Plus) and it comes up clean, no issues.

I have disabled the email protection on my email to no affect. Picture files are still rejected.

I have tried two different email accounts; Mozilla Thunderbird and Protonmail. Both accounts will not send the picture file attachments, but as mentioned will send other file attachments.

Any suggestions?

Thunderbird just "upgraded" Now when I open an email --half of the upper part of the page is used to show all info regarding the source of the email. See below How do I get rid of that? Also-- When i try to forward an email the top of the email now shows endless information regarding the source of the email that i am forwarding How do I get that to stop? See below

3rd post - it would be nice to get a response. I cannot send emaIL FROM THIS WIN 10 FULLY UPDated APP. The error message as above appears all the time (and does not cancel after 1 hour or whatever). Email can be sent using the same smtp settings from various Android devices. Forum suggestions do not cure the problem.

This, along with all the other annoying glitches within T'bird, seem to be forcing me to abandon using T'bird after many, many years. Shame.

The spacebar does not produce a space between words, when typing text. I'm using an iMac on macOS Monterey (V 12.6), and a Mac keyboard. It also causes the window I'm writing in to expand and contract in size. This happens when typing emails also. What do you recommend?

I'm trying to find out what Firefox has charged something to my credit card account. I didn't order anything from Firefox. Please let me know how you plan to resolve that and, if not, I'll just call the fraud division of my credit card company. I'm confused. Thunderbird changed over night, and is VERY jacked up... none of my inboxes have anything in them, and one of my Email addresses and folder don't exist!!! I received a response from my earlier rant

Try the following:

Set this setting:

   'View' > 'Folders' > 'All' 

Then do this:

   Menu icon > Help > More Troubleshooting Information
   Under 'Application Basics' - half way is Profile Folders - click on 'Open Folder' 

window opens showing contents of your profile name folder

   Exit Thunderbird now - this is important 

Scroll down and delete the following files:

   folderCache.json
   folderTree.json
   virtualFolders.dat
   session.json
   xulstore.json 

Click on 'Mail' folder

   delete 'smart mailboxes' folder 

(do not worry if it does not exist - it just means you have never used Unified)

Start Thunderbird.

Please Report back on results.
