Is there a way to force a webpage to prompt for future notifications, e.g, a new article published in a news site? It is possible to receive desktop notifications on my Mac from Firefox from webpage www.lsm.lv, however, I never have received a prompt whether I would like to receive mobile notifications on my Android. I have deleted cookies and site data multiple times but to no success. I must add that notifications are working properly on other browsers.

When the computer awakes from sleep, I can't click on anything within a browser window. I can't move between tabs either. The Firefox menu works and can select items in there. Restarting the browser fixes it. I got in touch with Apple yesterday and they said they couldn't help me because this is a Firefox problem. So here I am.

Hello, I have been able to receive and send emails through Thunderbird without any problem but the last couple of days I cannot receive or send emails on my laptop, but I do receive them on my cellphone through outlook. The strange thing is that when I come on to Mozilla support, it suddenly starts to work but then the next day it stops working again.

Hi everyone! I got two different type of mozilla's account: one professional, another private. Now I'm at home and I would like to enter in my professional mozilla account and see all my professional bookmarks. How could I change mozilla's account without mixing things like bookmarks?

On my laptop (Macbook Pro 2020; macOS 10.15.7), in Thunderbird (78.6.1; 64-bit), within only one email account (IMAP; server type = owl), the messages I see in every folder for that account disappear every time Thunderbird checks for new messages. (I have changed the time value to verify this.) This of course just started happening today, has worked fine for many months before this (even last night), and I recall no changes having been made to trigger this.
I can see the messages in any given folder again "if" I click on another folder and then back on that original folder. It is as if Thunderbird is forced to reload/re-show them. Or, I can right click on any folder, choose Properties and then click Repair Folder. This, too will restore visibility to the messages, until Thunderbird checks for new messages; whereupon, they all disappear again.
In order to give you wonderfully helpful people more information, just in case...
I am currently out of ideas.

Hi y'all,
After searching the forum I've found topics similar to my questioning but no solution at all.
Yes, I understand that once I click on the email and it shows on the message pane, it's literally open. That seems to be the obvious answer every time some is looking for keeping their emails unread for a later time.
I have along the day a very very demanding work flow based on my emails and many of them are problems that I need to solve at some point later - sometimes the same day, sometimes the next, sometimes... any time in the next week and so on. What the heck, sometimes I have three, four demands arriving at the same time in my inbox and all of them are asked to be treated as priority... I'm sure many of you all know this paradox of modern life, right?
That said, I need to start something right away while keeping others for a later moment. And having them marked as already "read" is a big risk of having it forgotten along the way.
I'd like to be able to read a preview/have the email open in the message pane and only have it marked as read if I double-click/open it. But not necessarily only if double-clicked... it could also be any other trigger that could allow me to check the message content without automatically having it marked as read.
Maybe in addition to a message pane there could be a preview pane option doing the same as the message pane but differentiated by not marking the email as read.
Maybe there could be that old "picaview" style option of displaying a real preview window by clicking with the right button of the mouse so you could check it keeping it unread... I don't know, anything.
Going for that small dot every single time I want to keep it unread is really nerve-wrecking, not to mention when you finish reading that email It was OK to mark it as read, but after moving or deleting it, automatically the cursor goes to the next message marking it read... and you didn't want that.
There you go for that green dot.
thanks in advance!

In the age of COVID and a switch to more remote work the dependency on online meetings has increased. The company I work for uses Google Apps for Business and has been using Google Meet for a long time, and I've never had any problems with it not working. Recently though, when I join a meeting using Firefox, nobody can hear me and it appears Firefox is not able to access my microphone. Here's what I've done to test:
1. Reviewed Windows 10 settings to make sure microphone input slider is up. 2. Checked other browsers, running Google Meet using Chrome works fine. (Note: everything was working before and I attempted to use Chrome to try out changing backgrounds. It seems like this is when my problems with Firefox began) 3. I've tested my microphone using https://www.onlinemictest.com/ initially it didn't appear to work, but if I tap on my laptop screen near the microphone I see lines showing activity, but it won't pick up voice. Using this same tool in Chrome works as expected. 4. I tested using Private Mode - Same results. 5. I tried clearing the startup cache - same results. 6. I tried using Safe Mode - same results. 7. Refreshed Firefox (using Troubleshooting Information screen (Refresh Firefox...)
I'm at the end of my rope trying to figure out what's going on, and why it only appears to be Firefox that's having a problem. Other apps like Zoom, and recording video using just the webcam on the computer also works fine.
Any help in getting this figured out would be appreciated. I try not to use Chrome if I don't have to, but switching to Chrome so I can join web meetings is a real pain.

I've had "HTTPS-only" turned on since it became available in a recent Firefox update, but its behavior seems very odd. I frequently get the error window that says HTTPS isn't available and gives me the option to cancel or proceed to a non-secure site. But most of the time, the page that opens when I click to proceed is indeed an https page.
Why is the Firefox module seeing these pages as non-https and not just opening them as they are?

I refreshed Firefox today on Firefoxes recommendation and now all my bookmarks are gone. I added the bookmark toolbar to try re-add my bookmarks, but nothing sticks. There is a sentence on the bookmark line saying it would be easier for me if I put bookmarks on the line and a link to manage bookmarks. Nothing sticks to the bookmark toolbar and nothing happens when I click the link. Other than switching to a new browser, which I am now seriously considering, how can I fix this? It took me a long time to get many of the important bookmarks in the folder

Hi; hope all is well in your world!
I have a ProtonMail account. (It works fine, I recommend it!) Had it for years, but have not used it much. Looking into VPN and proton offers one, so trying to find out more, and so am now exploring the proton site quite a bit.
I can log into ProtonMail itself very easily; I get directed to my ProtonMail inbox. Cool so far. But clicking on 'help' takes me to ProtonMail Support, in a new tab. Not so cool, because I'm now not logged in. If I hit the 'LOG IN' button at the top of that page, I can log in (again) very easily. But it takes me back to my ProtonMail inbox! Same problem if I try to log in to the Protonmail Blog.
I've tried everything I can think of. I've checked through all the ProtonMail support articles (that claim they are 'step by step guide to find easily your answer'); I've investigated 'Common Login Problems', and none of the offered solutions apply (I'm not having a problem logging in; I'm having a problem logging in to something other than the inbox.) I've tried disabling browser extensions; checked the settings of Javascript, Session Storage, and Cookies; even tried using a different browser.
I think the answer to this conundrum is to configure Firefox -- just for proton -- so that instead of opening a new tab it opens the content in the same tab. But I've searched Firefox help, and have not been able to discover how to do that.
I fear I am slowly but surely going insane.
Please help!

Good morning,
Hope this finds you all well and safe with 2021 well here. I got wondering about this hence me posting this to see about why the Firefox synced tabs information which I have my other laptops connected to my account doesn't have the updated sites shown or anything relevant to not having any tabs open since I don't have Firefox open on one of my other laptops but see an open webpage under Sync for it. Hope this makes sense for you to help out so I can see how to get around this if anything. Thank you. Hope to hear from one of you. Have a good day and stay safe.

Firefox stopped loading facebook a few weeks back and I've been using Edge for FB. Today Firefox gives "SEC_ERROR_BAD_SIGNATURE" for a large number of sites, including gmail and all the google sites, while still working for other sites like BBC News. I get the impression that Firefox is being somehow "targeted"... I've used it for years, going back to its predecessors in the 90s and have resisted changing browser so far!
