I have this issue as well and it seems to be with geeksphone devices. My Here maps app locates me a few provinces over (I'm in canada) from where I currently am. This needs to be something that has to be either a bug or answered by Geeksphone
I tried again and this time it was ok! (here maps and other apps too) Seems that: - accurate geolocation functions only with gps activated - before gps locks on satellites, a default location is displayed (depending on countries?, set by Ip provider ? for me, in France, it's 47 lat N 7 long E. - it may takes a long time before gps actually locks on satellites (3, 4 minutes...) GPSdate and time stamp are wrong though, as is timedigitized. When using here maps, icon on left down side lights green when gps is locked.
Check out the forum to see what they are saying about the 1.1 gps to test if it is happening in many locations: http://forum.geeksphone.com/
