When streaming video from any website, the screen goes blank after about 20 minutes if I don't use the mouse. How can I extend this time to 2 hours or more?

I like to view video on a variety of websites. It does not matter what video system is being used, after about 20 minutes or so, the browser goes black though the sound continues to play. I am using the latest update of Firefox, and I also use AVG as my virus protection (consistently updates). I have Windows Vista Home Premium OS. I did go into the Control Panel and lengthen the time before a screen saver came on, but this had no effect. I suspect there is a control for screen time in Mozilla but I can't figure it out.
