I had the same problem and I fixed it as following (See if it's the same case for you) :
1. Goto Tools > Options.
2. Under Advanced, select the Network Tab.
3. Click on Settings in the "Connection" box (open connection settings).
4. Check if "Automatic Proxy Configuration URL" is selected. If it is so, select "No proxy" instead or manually enter your proxy if you are using one.
The option "Automatic Proxy Configuration URL" was the culprit for me and some others as well and selecting "No proxy" instead cured our problems. It is a bug and has already been reported on Bugzilla as you can see here :

I can't be your best guide on this but, it sounds like you have a device attached to FF. Go to Tools and Options. Click on the "Sync" button up top, this is most likely the source of your problem.
The computer with the issue is my desktop which is the source machine for the sync. Are you saying to click 'Unlink this device' on this computer?
It happened to me as well... I put my sync up from a laptop that i was using... I formatted it and then installed another os and tried to access my data. And it just wouldnt. It just kept saying again and again that the password was wrong. But at the same time, I was able to log into mozilla. org. Some people said that maybe the server was down and it would get back up later. At the end, what worked for me was the simplest of things... i dont know if you are already doing this, maybe it had not made sense only to me.. but still it was the simple act of putting your email address where it says "Account."
My email address already is where it "Account". I did find something weird though. When I launched FF from a link in Microsoft Outlook email, Sync usually connected correctly, however, when I launched it directly from the desktop, I'd get the "Incorrect account or password" message.
