We're very sorry that happened. We found some bugs in the current beta release that could cause Firefox Sync to change the order of the bookmarks it syncs. We believe all of these bugs have been fixed in the next beta update, which will be released later this week.

ok cool thanks - it's weird how random it is, which ones get moved around - they're never the same each time.

me again. i think you've pushed through 2 updates since i was here last - it's still messing with my laptop bookmarks. if this is a real issue on your end i'm uninstalling the beta... i can't work like this. let me know if you're any closer to figuring it out. thank you

Okay, there must be another bug that we haven't seen in our own testing. Sorry! I'll make sure the developers know about it and hopefully we can fix it soon. Until then you might want to disconnect Firefox Beta from your sync account, or uninstall it and use the stable version of Firefox instead. Thanks for testing, and I'll let you know what we find.

ok thank you - it was only a couple bookmarks that moved this time so it seems that you're close. i'll hang in there - i'm liking the beta better than the other one.

i'll check it out - not sure how much i'd be able to help with though - i'm not as technically inclined as i'd like to be.

I synced my PC with a new Android mobile yesterday. Today on my PC some of my bookmarks have vanished but I have found them hidden under Bookmarks (top line along with File, Edit etc) then in the drop-down menu in Bookmarks Toolbar not under the toolbar itself.

However many folders are repeated although many (maybe all) the duplicates are empty. Inside the folders many sites are also repeated.

Is there any way I can get my old Bookmarks back again without all the duplications, preferably sharing it with the mobile? (That's cell phone in American).

I have just discovered this closed question: "some bookmarks missing on mobile device after firefox sync". Much the same as my problem.
