Every single time I reopen Firefox, I have to set up my Sync account again by typing in my username, password, and Sync key. I was under the impression that the Sync account would stay connected. Does anybody else know of this problem and how to fix it?

Chosen solution

The solution that I've found is:

In Firefox's Options under the Privacy tab:

If you have the option checked for "Clear history when Firefox closes": Go into the Settings for it and un-check the "Saved Passwords" under the Data section.

Seems to be the only data that needs to be "remembered" by Firefox for sync to work.

Just to add that I have this issue as well on Win7 x64.

Thinking that it might be a profile issue (maybe conflict with some leftover files from FF3 or other extensions), I created a new FF profile with the same problem.

Also tried starting FF4 as an admin with no use.

Tried everything but the FF Sync setting is "forgotten" each time it is closed.

Thank you. I was sure there had to be a fix somewhere. I had just assumed that the saved passwords were for websites.

It seems a number of Firefox users who are using the Sync feature are having this issue.

The solution provided by IcyRivers works!

It should communicated to all future Firefox users who want to use this feature as part of the install/setup process of Sync. I would of given up on the use of this very useful feature if I haven't seen this solution.
