I installed and began using Firefox 4 beta, after I was done with the internet I closed the browser and when I opened it back up again it was Firefox 3.6 something and not the version 4 beta. Did I do something wrong during the install or ???
Oh it converted back to Firefox 3.5.2

The beta version will download and install into a slightly different location on your computer. You will be able to use the current version of firefox firefox 3.6 as well as the beta version firefox 4beta.
Unfortunately I am not sure that it explains clearly that you should set up a separate profile for the new version of the browser. The profile is the store for all the important firefox data and settings. You will normally also set up a separate icon to start the second version and append -P to the command line used.
Once you have done that you are able to use both versions of firefox on your computer. If you do not set up a second profile you will run into problems.
