Tabs immediately resize when closing - not good if you want to close several in a row

For the right way to handle this issue, just look at chrome - when you close any tab with its respective x (except for the last tab), the remaining tabs stay the same size until you move your cursor away from the tab bar. if you close the last tab, they all resize so that your cursor is now over the x on the last tab.

In both cases, you're left with the easy ability to close multiple tabs by clicking in the same spot multiple times. I really wish firefox was like this but I don't see how to make it so.

ah, firefox 7 detects when your mouse leaves the tabbar, but i use a mouse pointer hiding contraption that firefox cant figure out properly. gnome applications figure it out just fine.
