On previous versions of Firefox there is a check for updates button. Where is it now?

On previous versions of Firefox there is a check for updates button. Where is it now?

Chosen solution

By default it is automatic. When you select "About Firefox", it will check for updates and notify you if an update is available.

If in the Preferences dialog, you go to the Advanced panel and then select the Update tab and change the update option to "Ask me what I want to do", you will then get a "Check for updates" button in the "About Firefox" dialog.

OK then on a Mac it is the Firefox button about Firefox, and nothing to press after that? Is it on Auto?

Thanks, I guess I will have to get accustomed to it not being in the help menu, just another step which I like to avoid.

Correction to the above, the default is it will download the update if one is available, and install it when you restart Firefox.
