i lost bookmark toolbar & instructions to restore it do not work

I used the help button. It said click on Firefox button, then options and bookmark toolbar. I can't find a button that resembles button in instructions, I can't find options - so I clicked on View, clicked on bookmark toolbar - nothing happened. Been thru every tab -dropdown - even under tools. Read all of your Q&A...totally frustrated with version 4 now.

Firefox > Option > Bookmarks Toolbar.

If the Menu bar is hidden then you can press the F10 key to make the Menu bar appear and go to View > Toolbars or right click the Menu or Navigation Toolbar to select which toolbars to see.

I'm not sure what will work in the 4.0b4 version, so you may need to update to a later beta version if that is possible. I don't know if recent beta versions still work on W2K.
