Can't find instructions on how to see open remote tabs on a properly configured computer.
That's probably a stupid one, but I cant find a way to use Firefox Sync to see the open tabs on another machine. The plugins are working properly, the 'sync tabs' opt is checked and I've already tried the icon on the message bar [left and right buttons], the menu item for the plugin on tools, the tab on preferences and search the documentation and google... any help would be apreciated.
Chosen solution
In the History menu select "Tabs from other computers", this opens a new tab containing details of the tabs.
You can double-click on an entry in the list to open it, or Control+click to select the tabs that you want to open, then right-click and choose "Open selected tabs"

Thank you very much.
Dear Mozilla, why not include a link from within Sync to this option? I am used to using Xmarks and everything synced there is included in one easy-to-access box...
It is worth adding to the above solution that you have to be connected to Sync for the "tabs from other computers" option to appear in your history menu (this may sound obvious but because Sync slows down or even freezes my browser periodically if I leave it turned on, I usually disconnect until the end of a session).
Hi,
I am going crazy with this thing. I am looking through the history, but nowhere can I find this "tabs from other computer" option.... I am using firefox 4.0b7 and minefield. Or maybe the reason is that I am using several profiles on same computer?
Thanks
I used to have tabs from other computers in earlier versions of FF but it's missing now (I'm on 4b7). This is a fresh install (I've just reimaged my laptop to Vista :( - company policy)
ah ... I've discovered that I can see it if I turn on the normal Menu bar and look under history there. It doesn't show in the funky new Firefox button (for me at least)..
Same here in 4b10. The Menu bar has these options, the Firefoxbuttonthingymaggog doesn't. This should be fixed; I find it strange that the Menu bar and Firefox button don't seem(!) to use the same underlying structure for (sub)menu options.

Until this is fixed I found a workaround.
If you create a book mark with this address
about:sync-tabs
and save it in your bookmarks bar you can have easy access to it.

There's a little (very little) downward arrow on the right side which if you click it it shows Tab groups, as well as Tabs from other computers. When the windows maximized its right next to the minimize button. I'm not sure if this was there for the previous versions (as this is an old thread), but since I also looked online for it I'm sure it'll be helpful for others as well.
