Firefox sync will synchronize your bookmarks, but the bookmarks are kept on the local computer, and it is for Firefox only. If you want to access the bookmarks from anywhere you will need to use an online bookmark service.

A couple to consider are Delicious Bookmarks and Google Bookmarks

Another option is Xmarks which can be used to synchronize bookmarks across different computers and browsers.
