on the older version I had a toolbar with apps in, i.e. mail, etc, which has now disappeared since downloading FireFox beta

Please see if this helps:

On the menu bar, click View, go to Toolbars, then select which toolbars you want to see.

Hi! Thanks - I already did that, but options are only Menu Bar, Navigation Toolbar, Bookmarks Toolbar. None of these bring up the apps bar I had previously.
