Hello, I've downloaded the beta in English but when installed it is in French. How can change this?

By everything is set to French I take it you mean the user interface is in French. I believe what could have happened was the download page picked up some French settings on your computer and downloaded the French version for you. All versions of Firefox are single language.

Try re-downloading the setup file from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

Using that page you can ensure you get the language version that you want.

Your plugins list shows outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks.

  1. Java Plug-in 1.4.1_01 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)

Update the Java plugin to the latest version.

You may need to (re)set the pref "general.useragent.locale" to the preferred language (e.g. "en-US" or "en-GB") on the about:config page.

You can open the about:config page via the location bar, like you open a web site.

Use the Filter bar at the top of that page to quickly locate the pref.

@TonyE - Indeed, the Windows version installed is in French. Although, I paid attention to download the FF install file on the us site, which is the link you gave me as well. I always go on this page as I do not want french settings.

@cor-el - I've followed your instruction then I closed and reloaded FF and it is still in French. Should I restart the computer? I also tried to update the Java plugin but I do not have the admin rights to do so.

Thank you for your help!

Thank you again,

I've re-tried 4 times to reinstall the beta 4.04, I reuse the path http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html and I had to uninstall the version 4.03 and the updated and reinstall 4.04 and finally it works.

Thank you again for your help.
