Firefox Home is missing support for own server setups
While Firefox Sync is itself comming with instructions on how to setup an own sync/weave server, the "Firefox Home" client for iPhone doesn't seem to allow to enter the servername manually so that own server setups are currently not support in version 1.0.
I highly opt for integrating a possibility to specify the servername for an own sync/weave server because otherwise the sync client is not useable for users running their own server. And as Firefox Home is open source it should provide the same functionality like the firefox sync client in firefox itself.

Firefox Home didn't ship with a custom server URL option, but there's a bug filed on this issue and a patch to fix it is underway.
Here's the official word:
We definitely want to enable this as quickly as we can. Supporting users running their own servers is very much a part of our core service principles. We have a bug open to track this: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=579247. Please follow that bug for more details and updates.
There is a new update to Firefox Home available that supports your own server. Once you have the update, open the settings app on the iphone and scroll down the list of apps and you should see Firefox Home. There you can turn on custom servers and specify the server url.
I believe one current limitation is that it won't work with a self-signed security certificate (this is being worked on).
When can be expect self-signed certificates to be working?
Still no news here? Is this really being worked on?
