iOS 106.0: iPhone heats up when Firefox is open

Firefox 106.0 (20303) on iOS 16.0.2 and 16.1. Since updating my iPhone 12 to the latest FF, the phone heats up on the left side whenever I use FF. This doesn't happen with Edge and chrome. I have 45 tabs open but only use one or twk, normally opening a new tab to browse. This usage was the same before updating to 106. Usually the only apps open in background are messages and Microsoft to do.

Anyone else who experiencing this or have any suggestions? Thanks so much.
