Firefox Lockwise Android App will not accept Firefox Account password

When attempting to set up the app on my phone, it never accepts the password. I have reset the password and signed in again on my desktop PC (FF browser). There is no doubt the password is correct. However the Lockwise app will not accept the password at all.
