Is there a way to disable the animations on Android that take place when you open a new tab or open the tab list? Each new window has a 'swipe-up' effect that slows the process down.

I tried changing the toolkit.cosmeticAnimations.enabled to false from the about:config page but it didn't appear to work. Thanks for any feedback
