Firefox Android Input selection not responding

Phone: Google pixel, Android 8, firefox 57

Sometimes when i try to select a text field it is unresponsive and sometimes i get lucky and i can select it, it is also hard to paste things into text fields at times as I'm not given the chance to paste which can be a huge hassel for me. If this was fixed firefox would be so perfect for me! I appreciate your time and look forward to a reply! Please let me know if you need any other details, it happens a lot to me during duck duck go searches for example.
