We need to ditch Google for DuckDuckGo
I know Flame is a dev phone and I'm not a dev, so consider this a massive Call to Action: Google shouldn't even be allowed on this phone. It's being built for privacy, this utterly defeats the purpose of this phone and OS. DuckDuckGo needs to be the default search engine. (I want nothing to do with Google, so I'm not using the phone).
Another issue is that many apps aren't available yet (I know, it takes time and effort) - but I'm certainly not using the Flame without a good adblocker. I also need to be able to see and control that apps can't track my use and geolocation unless I tell them they can.
Until this is resolved and Citymapper, Instagram and Twitter are available, I can't use this phone. This is also a call to Mozilla to invest more into this - if they want to use us as testers, they have to make is secure and user friendly, and not contradictory to their overall goal.

Hi bels,
Thank you for your input. This type of feedback is best directed through our User Advocacy channels, where we analyze and act on user feedback in multiple products.

I would also like to remind that as an alternative to a DuckDuckGo default search engine, users can create shortcuts to the Homescreen. This allows you to access any website as if it were a native web application.
