The phone ZTE Open c (uk version ebay) proximity sensor does not work. After the call every time you need to press the power button to press interrupts the connection. For me it is a bit cumbersome.

I understand that you are having issues with the proximity sensor on your ZTE Open C device.

We are aware of this issue and trying to find details from the manufacturer, ZTE, about whether this device has the light sensor hardware, or if this is a software issue. We are tracking this issue on bug 1005557. I will update this thread as we hear any news.

We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

There is a related chat on modaco, but I don't know where boogyboo obtained this information from.

The chipset that the Open C runs on (a Snapdragon 200) does support a proximity sensor, as many other phones are also based on this silicon and have one.

Hopefully we will know soon.
