Welcome to a new version of Firefox for Android (version 100). In this release, you will find the following updates:

Celebrate Firefox 100 with new wallpapers

Two new wallpapers are now available globally. Tap the Firefox logo in the top left corner of your homepage to select one that suits your style. Learn more about changing your wallpaper.

View search term groups on your homepage and in your history

You can now view groups of related sites that you’ve visited so you can easily get back to your search. Tap the search term group under Recently Visited to view the list of sites within the group. Search term groups are also shown as a list item in the History panel, with the most recently accessed items at the beginning of the list.

Search from the bookmarks and history view

Tap the Search button in your bookmarks and history views to search by keyword and limit results to the selected information.

Protect your privacy with HTTP-only mode

HTTPS-Only Mode is now automatically enabled in Firefox for Android. For every website you visit, Firefox will automatically establish a secure, encrypted connection over HTTPS whenever possible. This is especially useful when you are using a public WiFi where you can’t be sure of the integrity of your internet connection.

Bug fixes and enhancements

  • The system clipboard is now a valid share target for text and URLs.
  • The code for migrating Firefox 68 or older profiles has been removed. If you want to update from version 68 and retain your data, you can install version 99 and then update to the current version of Firefox.
