Never miss another update! Keep up with the latest stories and updates by adding social features from various websites right in the Firefox sidebar.

The template "ApplyToFx" does not exist or has no approved revision.

Add social features to Firefox

You can load content from these websites right into your sidebar.

Some of these services might be available only in the U.S. unless stated otherwise.
  1. Visit one of these pages, and then click on the Turn On or Activate button on the page.
  2. A confirmation message will appear. Click Enable Services on the message. The sidebar will open with your feed.
Note: Some services will ask you to log in so their feed will work properly.

Turn social features off and on

Got to get some work done? Here's how to temporarily turn things off.

  1. Go to your sidebar and click the gear icon sidebar gear at the top right corner to display a menu.
  2. Click Show sidebar to remove the check mark.

To turn a feed back on:

  1. Press Alt to show the menu temporarily, then click View, and then Sidebar. On the menu bar, click View, and then Sidebar.
  2. Choose the feed you want to display.

Switch feeds

You can activate multiple feeds and switch between them.

  1. Click the gear icon sidebar gear at the top right corner of your sidebar.
  2. Click to select the site you want to load.

Disable or remove a feed

If necessary, you can remove a service from Firefox.

  1. Click on the menu button The image "new fx menu" does not exist. and click Add-ons
  2. Click on the Services panel to the left of the screen. The Services panel will list all the social networks and content providers you've installed.
  3. Find the site you want to remove and click on Remove next to it.
Note: If you remove a service and then later want to use it again, you will have to re-add it to Firefox.

Having trouble? Here are some things you can try

If you see a message in the sidebar that Firefox can't connect with a service:

  • Click the Try Again button.

If that doesn't work, you may just have to wait a bit for it to become available again.

Tip: You can also try removing and then re-adding a service.
