Why is changing column width so complicated and buggy under 128.3. Nebula on Mac?

simply want to enlarge From column - before Nebula - just do it. Now, pain in the back - only lets you do a bit and moves everything else and still doesn't let me do what I used to do. What a mess they made out of a great program !

I tried to get a copy from timemachine (backup) and it complained that the profile is from a newer version. TB is full of bugs and horrible UI "features" that suck - simple things like changing column width for example.

I have two iCloud mails in Thunderbird. The older one runs great. For the other new one - same settings - mails sent often appear totally blank in the sent folder. Going to the iCloud webmail, sent messages appear totally normal and mails are sent to destination without any problem. I tried everything, no avail. Also weird is I have two "sent" folders (for no clear reason). Both have this issue, not always. See screenshot of iCloud webmail.

I am getting these messages when trying to reply: mail.iinet.net.au587 and Sending of message failed. Peer's Certificate has expired. The configuration related to must be corrected. I would like to know what to do to correct this.

Searching calendar events in Thunderbird used to search both title and description fields. For example, if I searched for "dental" it would find events titled "Dental appointment" and also events with "dental" somewhere in the description field. Now it only seems to search the title. I've always put most of the information in the description field, and I use the calendar primarily as a diary record of my life and things I need to keep track of, so this is a major downgrade in terms of usability for me. Is there any way to still search the description field?

Why can't I retrieve a website that I am directed to in a Thunderbird email? Usually the website is in "blue" and can be retrieved by a simple click, these are just in black.

bold text Previously I put the mouse on bottom of very long list and pushed them up until I had a workable IN BOX list. They were not lost they kept the displayed list the same as I deleted emails after reading.

I already tried putting Thunderbird as a shortcut into the C:\Users\<myAccountName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo (aka. shell:SendTo) folder. But when I use the "Sent to" menu and select Thunderbird, the file to be attached just gets openned by Windows as if I had double-clicked on it. Thunderbird does not even open a new message.

I also tried changing the call of the Thunderbird shortcut in the SendTo folder to: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -compose attachment= At least, then Thunderbird opens a new message. But it just writes the path\filename of the file to attach into the attachment section. When I then try to send the message, Thunderbird says it cannot access it under this path.

How are you doing this? Thanks!

I have five email accounts defined on a hosting service. On my computer in Thunderbird I have my main account on the left side followed by one of the other five. Then comes Local Folders and two more email accounts. I can retrieve email into my personal account and the one above Local Folders. I can't retrieve into the other two accounts. My wife's computer has HER personal account and one of the ones into which I can't retrieve. She can't retrieve into that one either. I have checked details of the definitions of the accounts on the hosting service and in Thunderbird on both of our computers and can't find anything different on the accounts that don't retrieve mail. I have an Android tablet running the K9Mail client and have my personal account and one of the problem accounts defined. I setup the other problem email account there and got complaints about it not being from a trusted site. I went ahead anyway, went to my personal account and sent a message to the new problem account and was able to go to that account and retrieve the message. What am I missing?

in the older TB for a loooong time, adr book and inbox showed up under WINDOW item new TB changed that and sometimes shows under TOOLS menu but in inbox it doesn't in compose/edit window it shows. See attached

Hi. I keep trying to delete messages from my AOL IMAP inbox, and they do go to the trash, which I then delete. But then the messages all return to my Inbox. Is this an AOL issue, or a known issue with Thunderbird? Any solutions?

I use Thunderbird Mail, I have two email accounts, a gmail and an icloud. Now a problem has occurred, all subfolders for icloud have disappeared from Thunderbird. I had different folders of saved correspondence, but now I just see Inbox, Archive and thrash. Anyone know what I can do to get those folders back, for gmail account everything is ok

As of 3 days ago I am finding that all emails and spam I get are all missing logos as well as anthing not script. Many are just blank and right click produces nothing. Dont know what you did but please undo it, Im not in the mood to go find another email host. Thank you

can't associate files with thunderbird even thougfh the association is set correctly. error just says i should make an association etc its updated and addons turned of anyone got any ideas, thanks

Whenever I try to send an e mail or reply to an email I get an error message telling me that the Connection to the Outgoing Server SMTP was lost in the middle of the transaction. I have check with my ISP (Telstra Australia) and there is no fault at their end. The account settings in Thunderbird are correct and I have the latest version. I can receive e mails but cant send any. This problem has only occured in the last couple of days. Can you help please.
