My Firefox sometimes freezes in the evenings when using AOL Mail and Facebook. I put this down to my old and slow PC. But I now have a brand new PC working on Windows 11 and all seemed fine, but it happened again this evening. I then logged into Facebook using MS Edge and it was working fine.

Why are the minimize, maximize and restore buttons not visible?

Sometimes these buttons on the browser window appear, and sometimes all three buttons are not visible. Never had this problem until recent Firefox updates somehow affected this. I cannot tell which update was unaffected since, but this is an ongoing problem and the browser window is blank with no buttons on the top right hand corner. The only solution is to use the file menu and select exit from the list. I may have to open and close Firefox several times until the button icons are visible again. See example screenshots.

P.S. I'm using a 32" monitor if this helps.

Please view screen captures that best show the random issues I have with Firefox browser. This started a few months ago on my desk top PC. I have kept my Firefox up to date using 147.0.1. and still run WIN 10 Home. Although I am sure Linux is in my future!

The issue happens randomly where the top row of my browser disappears off my screen. I can work around the issue no problem but would like to know and understand the issue and if I can resolve it from happening. Firefox is the only app I have this issue with. And it is random and cannot be forced, I have tried....

So, i am having two issues. when i click on notification icon fiverr.com the tab freezes. Also i am not finding the refresh firefox option in troubleshooting. i am using ryzen 9 8945hx with 5070.

Nothing is working after updating to the latest patch.

I cant open a new tab from any links at all. I cant copy an paste inside the browser AT ALL. My cursur looks like its about 25px off true. please roll this patch back ...why do they continue to allow engineers or coders to break it when it works fine?

I use FF 146.0.1 64-bit on MacOs Sonoma.

I experience this weird FF behaviour. I usually keep FF open all the time. After a while, days, maybe weeks, some UI elements start flashing when I hover the mouse above them. As an example, I use the whatsapp web UI. When this happens, I cannot click anymore on the emoji icon (on the right side of the message) to add an emoji icon to a message because that icon is flashing like crazy when I hover the mouse above it, and when I click the mouse I cannot hit it. Refreshing the page doesn't fix it. What I usually do is I restart the browser and then it gets its brains back.

I am just curious if any of you experienced this. It starts to become annoying.

Environment:

  Windows 11 Pro, Version 25H2, Updated windows (include KB5074109) on Jan 16, 2026.
  Firefox version 107.0  

Issue:

  Firefox freeze shortly (e.g. after play YouTube video for less than a couple minutes, just browser YouTube videos for a while, or just open about:preferences page).
  
  I installed  Firefox 147.0.1. Same issue. 

  Hover cursor to Firefox, it becomes busy (blue spinner)

  Note: Firefox works fine before the windows update. Chrome exits suddenly after the update too.

Task Manager: shows 15 FireFox processors with 0% CPU usage.
