I am on my new computer now, but need to open my old computer for information. However; I forgot the sign in password. Is there any way I can retrieve my old password for my non working older computer.

I am a card carrying FireFoxian. Please note: Firefox User since like Version One... I h@te Chrome. All of a sudden BAM I cannot log into ChatGPT from Mozilla Firefox. It authenticates then says there is an error. Private doesn't work. Clear history doesn't work. Should I go back to a previous verson of Firefox? 133.0.3 (64-bit)but it's the only one that works. In my previous mail I stated, that after the last Firefox Update last week virtually all my Bookmarks in the Bookmark sidebar AND the Bookmark toolbar have been blanked out i.e. the URL links have been eliminated, the ext is still there with a 'world icon'. Firefox does not let me restore from a saved .json file. Please let me have a solution for this problem, which is absolute first since using Firefox 1 1/2 decades ago. Thank you

My main, daily used computer updated to FF 134.0 when it was released. Two other computers that are less used will not. All are Win10. The two computers were booted up this weekend, but when you try to check for updates, it says they are already up to date. Both are 133.0.3 and have never had update issues before.

Was the 134 update pulled for some reason?

I know I can probably manually download and install the update, but am worried there may be problems with 134.

Can you add a configuration setting to Mozilla Firefox to disable Create New Profile, configurable in the policies.json file? (A second option but a much uglier one would be to disable being able to select a file location for a new profile. Then you could make the default profile directory write only, which would also accomplish the same thing.) (A third option would be to able to configure extensions by default upon installation in the ExtensionSettings policy.)

To explain, I use LeechblockNG on Firefox on Ubuntu. Very helpful. By placing a policies.json file (see at bottom) in /etc/firefox/policies/ directory, I can create a system wide policy. I can make the LeechblockNG extension mandatory and to be installed upon every new profile creation. That all works very well. HOWEVER, there is NO way to be able to set those options in the new profile. So LeechblockNG is installed with default options (which are no blocking at all), which effectively bypasses the addon.

I am also writing the author of the leechblock extension to see if there is any way to set the options for leechblock upon installation (the third option above).

But I know other people have this same question, and at present, if I am correct, there is no way to block new profile creation, or the Profile Manager window in Firefox.

So could you please add that option to the Firefox policies.json configuration? Something like "DisableNewProfiles": true would do it.

on some websites firefox does add one space in front and after copied text. This does not happen with Safari or Chrome:

This happens on Windows and MacOS. I did not test Linux or other systems. Firefox Version was 134.0 ARM for MacOS and 133.0.3 64-Bit on windows.

All of a sudden, I get a "Not enough room to save" error message when I try to download a fill. There is plenty of room on my disk.

Also, it's not giving me the option of just opening the file.

I've been needing to use Edge to download files.

Windows shut down my computer and when I restarted it all my data was gone! (Thanks Windows!) In order to restore my data, I had to create another user profile with adimn. privileges. That restored my desktop icons and other data, but not my bookmarks and browsing history. Is there a way I can recover those?

I use a 2009 Mac Mini running OS 10.11.6 dedicated for streaming. I was prompted to update Firefox to ESR which I did, replacing the older version of Firefox. The new version will not open.

It was the only browser I had. Can I undo the installation? Or download 78.15.0 somehow to restore the functionality of this Mac?

Using Firefox version 134 (64bit). When I click "Bookmarks / Manage Bookmarks, the listing defaults to the "Other Bookmarks" folder. I would like it to default to the "Bookmarks Menu" folder. How do I make it do that? Note: In 2023, I used a fix submitted by cor-el that modified autoconfig.js and autoconfig.cfg and worked very well, however in Firefox v 134, it no longer works
