After creating yesterday a new Folder, today is not in the Bookmarks under the Star. Under three bars, Bookmarks, Manage bookmarks it shows there the web pages I put there yesterday. What is going on?

I have organized my bookmarks into various directories & sub-directories. On occasion, these directories &/or sub-directories 'migrate' if I'm not precise with my cursor movements. Is there a search function I can use without having to go through each directory/sub-directory one-by-one?

While this may sound silly, it does happen that I add bookmarks, but I might rush and forget to update/change the bookmark folder/path where to save it when I am in a hurry (and the page might end up saved, but not in a location I want, say, a news article that should be saved in "News" might end up in a "Development" bookmark path or vice-versa, depending on which path I last used to bookmark a page), or even forget where I saved it (if I did it some time ago for a "read/use/check/update later" type of thing and it is a generic article - and yes, I even have a "TODO" bookmark "directory").

While the Bookmarks windows dos have a search option (thank god!), it doesn't also show where I saved said bookmark (so that I can move, delete or do whatever to it). So please, in the Bookmarks window also add a column with the path where it is saved (obviously hidden by default), along with the URL, name, visit count, etc. I am sure code-wise, the effort is negligible, but it can help so much.

my bookmark bar disappered suddenly and all my tabs are gone. i tried to bookmark a new tab but it would not let me. and i didnt do anything different. opened my laptop today and i had to restore all tabs, and my bookmark bar is gone and all my shortcuts from bookmarks are gone too

All the icons in my Bookmark Toolbar have been working great with no errors for several years, through countless updates with no problem. Then, recently I noticed all the icons lost the color icons and just show as a wire globe. Clicking on them, any one of them, they all go to the same website. If I remove them, got to the website I want there, and drag the URL to the bookmark bar, things are back to normal for that icon. So I replaced each one, and the next day, when I open Firefox, all the icons are again wire globes. It seems that Firefox will not retain the URL for any of the icons.

Very strange.

To eliminate multiple problems (including disappearance of bookmarks) in desperation I uninstalled and cleared out all remnants of FF, then installed a new FF. Fortunately I had recently imported all the stuff FF more recently lost into MS Edge so I used the FF feature to import from MS Edge. However, every effort to import my bookmarks failed. So I used MS Edge's ability to create a HTML file of my bookmarks and then in FF used the "import a HTML file" feature to get them into FF. However, FF fails to recognize my bookmarks as bookmarks. It lists them in a "Favorites Bar" which cannot be strewn horizontally across the top of my screen as did my bookmarks in the past nor be viewed as bookmarks.

So HOW can I get FF to change the "Favorites" into Bookmarks?

For about a month I've had to use Chrome because my bookmarks scramble or become unoperatable, then about 4 days ago they started saving again & all bookmarks worked fine. This lasted about 3 days then went back to becoming dead or wrong (may all say 1 or 2) sites I visit. a restart may lose any new bookmarks, & the rest of my bookmarks are either wrong site or dead links. How do I correct? I have tried new downloads & the new Firefox acts just like the messed up version. Probably a simple setting but I give up, can't find the solution. Any help appreciated. You have my permission to change any setting needed to fix Bookmarks. Thanks, James

I successfully imported the book marks and see multiple bookmarks folders in library. At least one of them really has the bookmarks. But when I enable show bookmarks, they are nowhere to be seen

I cannot get the bookmarks toolbar to show "Other Bookmarks" on the right end of the toolbar. When I right click on the toolbar, the option to "Show Other Bookmarks" is greyed out.

I completely uninstalled Firefox, deleting all residual files and registry keys, then reinstalled the software, and it hasn't fixed my issue.

I cannot find any support forums or articles that have provided a solution.
