I reinstalled Firefox on my laptop after it crashed. I also have Firefox on my iPhone. The profile there is up to date. How do I sync that profile to the laptop installation?

About two years ago, I created an account on Mozilla, and by then I'd already set up two-step authentication using the app's Authenticator. But then I had to reset Windows and lost my backup keys and other stuff. Soon after, I experimented with other browsers and forgot about Firefox (I also deleted the Firefox profile in the Authenticator app). Now I've decided to log into my account, but since I can't log in without the app, I figured there's an option to log in using the email linked to the account (I have access to it), but for some reason, they're asking me for an account recovery key. So, I know my email address and have the password for it, but I can't log into my account without the Authenticator app. To try this alternative, I need to know the account recovery key, but I've lost it too. So, I'd be very grateful if anyone knows a solution to this problem. For reference, I also logged out of my Mozilla account on other devices and I haven't received any emails related to this situation (like checking email, etc.).

I set the about:config settings when I got the new computer early last year. It's been working fine. Suddenly, searches are popping up again to the urlbar.

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar is still set to false. Keyword.enabled is still set to false.

I see a couple of site references to browser.fixup.alternate.enabled, but it doesn't exist.

How do I get FF back to proper search in the search bar?

I have entered in exceptions for a web page that Firefox continues to block....I have gone through your steps 4 times now...one time out of 4 you actually let the web page through....since then you don't again...what is wrong with your system? as I am not receiving a download link from the intended exception due to the fact you are not honoring it....

Dlaczego zawsze gdy chcę przetłumaczyć stronę pokazują mi się -tłumaczenie z język polski na język perski? Zawsze muszę wprowadzać, że chcę przetłumaczyć z język angielski na polski na przykład. Nie wiem jak mogę to zmienić by móc szybciej przetłumaczyć konkretną stronę? Skąd zawsze pokazuje się ten język perski. Chcę by zawsze wskazywało mi,że chcę przetłumaczyć np z język angielski na polski i nie potzebuję ustawiać, by wszystkie strony tłumaczyły się na język polski. Może ktoś wie jak usunąć tą podpowiedź tłumaczenia z język polski na język polski i ustawić inną podpowiedź? Dziękuję wraz z pozdrowieniami.

Hi. I've downloaded dictionaries and languages, the check spelling option is enabled in the browser settings. However, browser doesn't want to do it automatically. I have to manually enable it with RMB context menu (and re-select languages) for each website individually. Moreover, when the page refreshes, spell checking turning itself off again in RMB menu (but stays enabled in browser options).

  Is this really how it's supposed to work?

My screen has recently been drowned in completely uninteresting and unwanted boxes with various contents, signed Mozilla Firefox, that I have to keep clicking 'dismiss' on to get rid of - how can I make this unwanted invasion of my screen stop????

My Firefox is not showing search suggestions/autocomplete when I search for a term in the search bar. First screenshot is what I see, second screenshot is from Chrome. Third screenshot is my settings.

Since ages ago I've always logged into Firefox and turned on sync so whichever device I was on (or if I have formatted my PC) I would still have acces to my browser history, tabs etc. Today I've formatted my PC to switch from win 10 to win 11 and logged into firefox as usual, but after trying to Sync nothing happens. My tabs, my history, everything is empty for some reason and I cannot find my original device (the one from a few hours ago connected in win 10) in my connected devices list either.

Please help me, my whole life is in that sync :(

My name is Nichael and I'd appreciate assistance. I changed computers yesterday and then downloaded Firefox. I prefer the old appearance with bookmarks listed vertically in a sidebar as opposed to them listed horizontally along the top. Which setting(s) will change locations of the bookmarks to what I prefer?

No other browser or software is behaving as Firefox regarding playing a tone if I select a menu pull down or Right click on a tab etc.

The answers regarding Sounds from the internet do not correct this as I've already disabled Windows tones. This is specfic to Firefox only. I've tried shutting off extensions and restarting the browser in safe mode or troubleshoot mode. The browser still plays tones with mouse clicks. If I silence Mozilla with my windows area then I can't listen to video audio such as youtube. Toggling audio off and on is annyoing and was never necessary before. This is must be a software issue within the browser.

Why the tones have suddenly begun when they never have before is a mystery. I don't get tones anywhere else.

I can't believe Firefox doesn't have a simple toggle within it's own software. It needs one now.

I waited for a long time to do an upgrade to avoid problems. Today finally I decided to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox for my iMac, 147.0.1. Before the upgrade I successfully used with zero issues gemini.google.com/app . Now the website comes up, but regardless what I enter as a question I only get an error message stating "something went wrong". The same website works with no issues (TG) with Safari.

Does anyone else experience the same? Is this a known bug with this version of Firefox? Is there a work around for it? Is the solution just using Safari?
