Issue: When Firefox starts after a system reboot, it starts on the incorrect desktop. This seems to be off by one; that is, I have Firefox assigned to Desktop 3 (using the Dock icon's Options menu). Under normal operation, it starts on Desktop 3, but after a reboot, it seems to start on (more recently) Desktop 2 or (earlier) Desktop 4. Unsure about what causes it to prefer 2 vs. 4.

This seems to happen after I've shut down (quit Firefox normally, shut down without reopening windows on login, power goes off, power on, log in, then click on the Firefox icon in the Dock) or after a system update (which reopens windows on login for me after rebooting and installing the update). It does not seem to happen after a Firefox update or after quitting Firefox normally and then restarting it from the Dock icon right away.

Pretty irritating, as I have major applications assigned to specific desktops, and Firefox is the only one that seems to forget which desktop it should be on.

Firefox 150.0.3 (aarch64):

• Settings > General > Startup > Open previous windows and tabs > TRUE (checked)

macos 26.5 (25F71) Tahoe:

• Settings > Desktop and Dock > Mission Control:
• ---> Automatically rearrange Spaces based on most recent use: FALSE
• ---> ...switch to a Space with open windows for that application: TRUE
• ---> Group windows by application: TRUE
• ---> Displays have separate Spaces: TRUE
• Dock > Firefox application icon > [Right Click] > Options > Assign To > This Desktop (i.e., Desktop 3)
• Apple Menu > Shutdown > Reopen windows when logging in: FALSE

MacBook Air M4 2025 24 GB RAM:

• No external displays connected

the web page will show a currently typing cursor, the little blinking line on typing stuff, if i misclick lets say on an amazon product page it will just appear. its like the code has changed to make every screen/tab/window/page a word document and i dont know how it happened, how to fix it and what all it even is so help would be massively appreciated, thank you. sorry about the typing and commas thigny idk what is called in english as english is no my first langwige

I have logged into TinyURL.com MANY times using Firefox. Now, I get a Cloudflare Validation Error when trying to do so (see attached screenshot/snip).

This was done in Troubleshooting mode, but is the same in standard mode, though I have no extensions enabled. I've tried turning Protection Tracking off; no luck. - We use ZoneAlarm, but the Web Secure functions are all disabled. - I have the same issue on 2 PC's, one Windows 10 and the other Windows 11, 64-bit. - I'm on FF release 150.0.2 - 64-bit, and both Windows installs are fully updated and kept that way. - I've reached out to TinyURL in hopes of resolving the issue. They suggested many of the above steps but not resolved this issue. - HOWEVER, I've found that login via Google Chrome IS seamless - no issues.

What is it with Firefox that it's having issues with the Cloudflare "Human" check? I've checked the Cloudflare site; all conditions are good, and this very setup passed the "Turnstile" check.

FF is my #1 preferred browser, so please look into this. I see that others have posted similar issues over multiple years here (but a search of support articles didn't find one . . .)

There are certain websites that, on firefox only, display apostrophes and quotations as Russian letters. For example, on google docs, if I type "He's such a great friend" it will display уHeТs such a great friendФ. When I open the document on the app, it is normal, but I haven't been able to figure out why it does this on my computer. I use Mozilla Firefox for Fedora 149.0.2 for reference.

For about 10 days now the automatic tab reloader on Firefox doesn't work, it simply doesn't reload the tab. My up to date Firefox runs on the up to date Windows 11.

I could not get into my Fidelity Investments account today. (I signed up last week using same computer w/Firefox) I got to the login page but Fidelity gave me a "can't complete at this time, try again" notice. So I called them up and they suggested I use chrome. I don't want to use chrome. I tried reentering with the VPN off and on. No go.

I know this is probably impossible to restore but I might as well ask, No I do not have backuped files on my computer, I already have the username, I was just going to ask if there was a way I can find the password for the account. I understand if that is a impossible task so thanks either way if you cannot help with my problem.

Firefox is my browser, but I also have Windows Office 365. Every time I open my my gmail account or anything else I have to reset Firefox as my browser. Windows keeps trying to change my browser. I use and have many documents on Office 365 so I don't want to delete it. How can I stop that from happening. I can't disable the Microsoft browser.

I used to paste a text selection (temporary clipboard) into the URL bar and it would replace the loaded text/url. Now, it inserts it to the existing content at the point of the cursor. Why does it do it now? Is this an option i have to disable or is it a bug?

If I have two or more tabs open it happens very often that all tabs which are not in use are closed independently by the browser. At the same time Firefox independently creates bookmarks from some closed tabs in the bookmark toolbar. I always use the latest version of the brwoser and no extensions. I would be grateful for a solution. Thanks!

Hi whenever I use my Google account to sign into websites (Google, ebay, YouTube, & anyother sites,) Firefox will become unresponsive, the window containing the tab i was using becomes unresponsive, sort of. - I can't click any open Firefox Tabs, - the red 'Close' radio button is greyed-out, so I can't close any tabs or the window - right-click is unresponsive, so i can't close tabs that way, but Command-W closes the tabs normally, but the others are still unresponsive.

- i can open a new Firefox window (with &/or without Tabs,) which works normally.

- & unrelated, but earlier, Firefox was running really slowly, Youtube videos were slowed down, but audio was normal, and scrolling was slow.

A while ago I made some changes in about:config and also in my ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk,css file so as to control my scrollbar and slider -- making them more visible:

... it works half the time. Some pages obey the above settings but other pages continued to show a scrollbar about a mm wide with the slider so faint as to barely be visible. So, in 'about:config' :

widget.non-native-theme.scrollbar.size.override 30

... at least made the narrow scrollbar a bit wider. But how to change it's color? Doing this in a file:

.... doesn't change anything.  Is there some complete guide to controlling the srollbars?  Nice if it could all be handled in one place of course.

hello my problem is widespread, recently i took my pc to shop because of some system problems, shopkeeper updated my windows 11 to newest version before update i think i had version from before 2025 i think, anyway many old programs i had saved stopped working or started to have problems if they worked, i had to instal new Firefox too because i completely lost the old one, and the problem i had while watching youtube was weird white blinking sometimes, it was very annoying, i searched online for solution and found out that i should turn off hardware acceleration, blinking stopped but now i see weird horizontal line in the middle of my screen while looking at pictures and moving them up or down or watching movie that moves up and down too, i dont mind turning acceleration back on but then resolving blinking while watching videos on Youtube my windows 11 version 25hc GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 driver updated 23.04.2026 version of driver 32.0.15.9636 firefox version 151.0.1

I had experienced the dreaded "XPCom error" and had to do a clean reinstall of Firefox (I know, I should've followed the rule of saving anything important in 3 separate locations.) I had re-logged in and noticed I didn't have any of my bookmarks or anything. Am I out of completely out of luck in this case of trying to get anything back?

Since updating to 151.0.1 0 on MAC OS Tahoe 26.5 , every 6 digit TOTP entered posts error - "Use another authentication method"

I use same authenticator app on Safari - no issues.

Some homepages would not come thru it is the same as i can connect to from my win10 computer without problems If you see bad spelling, i have tried to add on English langugare, bur it does nor work

I am running the latest public stable release of Firefox, 151.0.1 (aarch64), and these last few weeks I've been getting prompted to grant my location over and over every time I do a Google search. In MacOS, I've granted Firefox location permission and I've repeatedly saved me giving google permission but it doesn't stop. This is happening on my MacBook Pro and Mac Studio.

Anyone else? Any tips? It's maddening. lol
