Two questions .......... You have my operating system as windows 10, it is windows 11 ??? ......... 2nd question ......... when I bring up Firefox it shows the weather for Chicago, I live in Minneapolis/St. Paul area, following your weather location change instruction, the weather still goes back to Chicago.

Hi, thank you for reading this :) Since a week or two I have issues with drops in framerate of videos. It happened first on youtube but since then also on other platforms with other video players.

I've tried troubleshooting mode, fresh install, different network. Nothing helps. Speedtest has me at 160 mbps up and down.

The audio runs smoothly in all this though, it really is just the video that drops.

I use firefox on a Macbook and have this feeling it started to happen when I upgraded to macOS Tahoe.

As per the topic, since the MacOS 26.0.1 update Firefox freezes after resuming from sleep. Specifically, tab selection, page refreshes or menu selections cannot occur. Keyboard command to quit does work and after a reload all tabs, windows and function is restored

None of my extensions have changed and for the first week or so after the initial MacOS 26 release this issue wasn't occurring. No other application or system changes have occurred since 26.0.1.

This has just started happening today. When I open FF my recent tabs do NOT open. I have the option selected in settings to open with recent tabs. In history I do not have the option to re-open recently closed tabs.

Any suggestions how to fix this defect?

how do i recover all the tabs I had open? I do not have and have not had the option to "Restore previous session". I did go to recover tabs, but it was not all of them. Then I tried scrounger.html and that did not work.

Just noticed today my firefox search bar has changed. I'm on Ver 143.0.4

Before I could click on it and it would show my recent visited websites. Now it shows nothing unless I choose history from the down error however after I go to a website I no longer have the option to click in and see my history again. I need to open a new tab.

Any idea how I can change this back as It seems like a very bad feature.

Never had an issue printing google maps until a few weeks ago. Now the print function brings up the page header but no map. The map prints every time when I switch to Chrome. I opened the troubleshooting information page and clicked saved print settings in the printing section. That did not fix the issue.

When I discover that I have already bookmarked a URL, I want to easily discover in which of my folder(s) I have saved the bookmark. In some cases, the hosting site morphs the bookmarked URL with a redirect, so I am unable to discover the containing folder by browsing to the URL. Sigh. I would also like to discover situations where I have already bookmarked a single URL in several different folders.

I have downloaded the JSON for my bookmarks file and parsed the JSON. I now know that I have 7388 URLs bookmarked which are saved across 111 folders.

I am having trouble discovering the parent/child relationships between the various folders in which the bookmarks are saved. I have several situations where child folders have the same names and can be identified only when the child's parent folder is known.

Undated Firefox documentation at [https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d.../BookmarkTreeNode#parentid] suggests that each node in the bookmark tree should have a parentid and an index. I see an index but I do not see a parentid. I do see a GUID field. I have seen comments suggesting that parentid has been replaced by GUID.

But the values I see (GUID=FqNNI0k91ZjW, for example) do not make sense and have no connection to the ID fields (ID=2658, for example).

Can anyone help me make sense of the GUID values I am seeing? Are GUIDs now being hashed for some reason?

Im experiencing crashes in and out of troubleshoot mode, often several in a row. The drivers on my device have no futher updates and Im unsure what to do. Hi! I'm on a relatively new to me (refurb) desktop computer running Win 10 Pro (64 bit)* and Firefox 143.0.3.

In the past week both Firefox and Win 10 have updated. I don't know what happened, but now when I boot up or reboot, my computer opens to MS Edge. Yuck!

Every single time I have to reinstall Firefox! Once I do that, all is well again. I have all my bookmarks back, etc.

It also keeps changing my "default to Firefox" browser setting, turning it OFF, while I'm using Firefox. I repeatedly have to keep going in and clicking to make FF to the default browser again.

Why is it doing this? How do I stop it?

Anyway, I know I can't delete Edge or uninstall it. How do I shove it back into the black hole it has lived in until now?

My Windows11 taskbar has an icon for firefox. If i left click on it (or just hovers) it shows thumbnail preview of the open windows. If to many it turns into a vertical list with the window names.

Lately (couple of months), when two or more firefox tabs or windows are open, I get a vertical list with those open windows but beneath it a complete list of empty entries (even more than there are processes in the task manager ...).

When I restart Windows it goes away for a while. But sometimes returns, I feel it is related to Windows updates as I have the feeling it started with a Windows update, went away with an update and is now back with an update. But that is just a feeling.

I upgraded my Dell PC to Windows 11 yesterday via Windows Update, since support for Windows 10 is ending. Now Firefox crashes often when I close the browser. Everything works fine while I'm using Firefox, it's only when I close the browser that sometime later I will get a crash message on my desktop. I have tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, and the problem persists. From what I can tell, there's some process which is ongoing after the browser is closed, which isn't terminating properly and that's why it's crashing. I think that i get some virus in my computer, in the last two days some of my accounts were accessed by an unusual way.

I´d like to know if the problem was my passwords kept on firefox, all the apps that were hacked had the password saved on the firefox manager.

There's a way to know if my passwords on the Firefox were stolen ?

I just had to sign in to this forum although I had never logged out. I am using Firefox 143.0.3 (64-bit) on Linux Mint 22.2. It is not the first time I am having to login again in one-by-one the sites I visit. And before anything else, I have not changed any of my privacy settings and no new profile has been created due corruption of my default one. It is not the first time this happens lately. Any chance with the Firefox update? I think I installed one quite recently.

hi in a new win 10 instal most text incl Fire Fox and t bird text is made up of letters [font] that are made of thin and thick lines [in the same letter]

i dont know if its a strange font or another problem, i have copied all "font" setting from my other pc where i dont have the problem.

also i cant get spell check to work here dsespite turning it on

its very distracting, would be very gratefull for any suggestones can if any one can help  thanks

When opening an image in a new tab, I get an image with a glitch in the background (attached). I've read forums and websites, thought about it, tried the suggested options with commands to disable certain settings, tried installing Firefox forks – nothing helps. The persistent stripes continue to haunt me. Then I installed a couple of other browsers to compare and verify. The same issue doesn't exist in them. In short, I've racked my brain trying to solve this problem.

I need your help and ideas on how to overcome this.

Hello, My firefox, I have from top to bottom, Tabs bar, search bar, bookmarks My problem is that the tabs are very large. I don't know how I did this.. partially because I had to enlarge type.. I like tabs to show what I'm on and go back and forth sometimes but would like to get them smaller. is that possible? IE: my Home button shows up as a Tab, so I can't even x out of it without firefox closing. I always thought my home button was just beside my bookmarks.. Oh well.. if someone has any ideas, please let me know.. Thanks in advance, Linda
