I have zero interest in this nonsense malware being added, especially with their terrible reputation for security

When in an e mail which has an e mail group from my own address book in the TO: field, how do I click on it and see the addresses included in the e mail group?

I have attached a snip of my Firefox GUI.

Glaring white backgrounds in webpage GUIs are, simply, a Pain in the Eyes! I like to get rid of them and I have done for the webpage text background you can see in the image. Now, what I would like to be able to do is to set the same colour as the text background in the URL window and the Bookmarks window.

Is this possible? How is it done?

I clicked on something wrong and now I have a new "trash" folder as a subfolder under the "sent" folder. I cannot delete it and all my trash goes into it. The old one is still where it is supposed to be and stays empty. How can I delete the new one and send all my trash to the old one where it belongs?

I have no idea what I clicked on that created this problem.

I am trying to migrate to new Android phone and I am having great difficulty with migrating the firefox profile wholesale. The adb backup method fails. The sync method will not transfer addon settings (I have extensive list of ublock origin filters). Besides I would like not to touch cloud for profile migration.

I have tried https://github.com/Rob--W/firefox-android-backup-restore but that failed epically (and I am very technical person).

I do not want to root the android (it breaks banking apps).

What now?

Really appreciate the suggestions.

I am not looking forward to re-login to all the sessions and recreate all the filters.

Today I updated to Firefox 143.0.3. When done (most of?) my add-ons were gone, in particular all my add blockers, facebook container, etc. Also, my search engine defaulted to Google (yikes!)from Duck Duck etc. I am very specific about trying to block all ads, trackers, etc and avoiding all Google products. Other things stayed the same like cookies preferences.

Is this done by design? Is there a file somewhere that still has all my add-on info, that I can restore.

I really would give up on browsing if I am forced to see ads all the time.

Why am I not able to get sound when watching a video while connected to the internet? If I use Chrome or Edge the sound is fine. Could it be an incorrect setting? Or is this a common problem you are already aware of?

FINALLED, I TRIED THE DEVELOPER VERSION: NO MORE CRASHES! I READ THE RESPONSES FROM YOUR CLUELESS STAFF TO OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH THE SAME TROUBLE. So I had logged into this Firefox account, but while I was, I forgot my password. I needed to enter the correct code from the email, but I lost the recovery key; I needed to enter in the 2FA code from my phone, then I could now change the password. When I logged in, boom, bookmarks gone. Passwords gone, and browsing history gone. I was waiting for it all to sync, but it had probably synced the deletion of everything possibly. I have no idea what happened, but I do not believe my account was compromised, because I did not get any emails about any new logins. If it is encrypted, how can I decrypt it so I can get my stuff back? Thanks.

How do I get back to the 'old' format of Bookmarks with Folders and Sub-Folders. I do not like the newer style of 'most used' along the right column. I prefer to see ALL of my Bookmarks along with any sub-folders contained within. Thank You, Jim Bigger

Today on my (android) phone I received a Firefox update. I have auto update turned off, so I don't know when it was initially available, but I installed updates on all apps late this morning. It reset all of my privacy and search settings. I first noticed because it was giving me google and firefox suggestions as I typed, and I find all autocomplete/suggestions to be annoying and not helpful, so I have always had this turned off as I NEVER want any suggestions. Finding that I checked my other settings, and found that all AI, Firefox Suggest, and usage/diagnostic data were all turned on which were not earlier in the day. I always have this garbage OFF.

After work I checked all of my devices. All of them are set to update automatically but one. That is the only device that did not reset my privacy and search settings, but as soon as it updated it did. (none of my other settings seem to be impacted, as other things I've changed are still there).

Is this going to be standard practice now? I don't even get notifications when it is updated so how will I know to turn this off? Do I just have to check every day? I did a security check just a week ago and all of my settings were off. I do this every few weeks as windows likes to change my settings and install apps I don't need with updates so I regularly check all my apps privacy settings on my phone and PCs.

Is this a known issue? Is this going to be resolved? I don't like when companies collect my data after I have turned it off.

First, I use Header Panel to mean the display panel with some message details just above the message display window, i.e. From:, To:, Message Title:, etc.

There are four lines with lots of empty space. It reduces the amount of message display considerably. I'd be happy with two lines - From: + icon buttons on line one, and To: + Message Title on line 2.

If this can be done, Great!. If not, please pass this on as a suggestion for future revisions.

I just updated to the most recent Firefox version and read about the unload feature. Sound great, but when I right click on the tab the menu does not have unload as an option.

When paying credit card accounts owned by Synchrony Bank (eg J C Penney, Care Credit), after making payment, displayed receipt is too long for one page, and critical data spills over into what would be the second page. There is no site-provided Print control, and when I try to use the Print control on the toolbar, the print dialog opens up, displaying the correct number of pages (usually two, sometimes three), but displaying the image of the first page on each page. When I select pages 1 and 2 for printing, page 1 prints on all pages of the paper.

Synchrony Bank has been informed of this multiple times over the past year, and they refuse to look at the problem, saying it's "my browser." So is there any way to prove it's their problem, or can you put pressure on them to fix the problem? I am reduced to waiting for the email receipt to appear and print THAT (of course, I hold the web site open until it does), and for my last payment the email never appeared!

It wouldn't be so bad if they put the critical numbers at the top of the page, but they always have some art work and other constant content that takes up more than half the page (it also wastes ink, but that is a minor concern), as if they want to force users to print on legal paper.

I will submit the debugging information the next time I make a payment to one of these cards (the problem does not appear when printing any other web page, ONLY the payment receipt).

I have noticed that quite a few emails have gotten into the junk folder despite the fact that they meet the criteria to be filtered by my own custom message filters and I have those filters set to run before junk classification. So it seems the junk filter is actually being applied prior to my own message filters. I'd really like to just turn off the junk filter entirely because I like to make my own filters to catch things that I deem as junk, (and that is how it worked on my old version of thunderbird that I had on my old laptop). Is it possible to turn it off, and if so, how?

If it is not possible, then it would be good if this apparent bug were fixed.

I included a screenshot showing just one example of an email from an address I had created a custom filter for in the junk mail folder.

Please help me – Thunderbird not recognizing mail files for a pop3 I am using Thunderbird version 115.10.1 with Windows 10 I have multiple pop3 accounts I deleted one of those accounts in Thunderbird to test another email software. I then deleted that software and added that pop3 account back to Thunderbird However, the reinstalled account does not show any of the emails or folders for that account. They are no longer visible. But when I go here C:\Users\Dale & Cheryl Office\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\ajcrll97.default\Mail In the “Mail” folder I see the following (see image)

How can I get Thunderbird to recognize the old email directory of all my past email history for the reinstalled pop3 account?

I can not receive or send emails with my thunderbird account. It keeps saying that the connection to pop.centurytel.net was reset. Can you help me get my email back please?
