they have a good product BUT....... It appears that Mozzla do not give a damn about people that have older machines even though we have been loyal user/supporters for years, when or IF I get a new computer I think I will stick to Safari. Its a shame that these (big) guys do not help people like me or you.

hello, please understand that mozilla has continued to support powerpc macs for over two years after apple has ceased to provide updates to the platform. if you want to continue using an up-to-date mozilla-based browser on your current system you can switch to tenfourfox (the downside is, it doesn't support plugins): http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/

Firefox no longer works with Mac OS X 10.4 or PowerPC processors

The real blame lies with Apple, for changing their OS's and hardware base so often.

Mozilla has been providing a dual version Firefox for many years; first it was a combination of the PPC version and the Intel version in 32-bit, then Mozilla switched to the dual Intel 32-bit / Intel 64-bit combination. Trying to maintain 3 separate bases would have over-stressed Mozilla's resources, especially for the PPC versions that had declined in usage and even Apple didn't support any longer. That coupled with total Mac usage being like a drop in a cup of water of the total number of PC's out there ....
