will not insert saved passwords
FF will not insert saved logins and passwords. Even though they're in a list under TOOLS|OPTIONS|SECURITY|SAVED PASSWORDS they will not insert themselves in the appropriate fields on this one computer. All other PCs I use work fine, not this one. I have deleted FF completely (as far as I am able), and have reinstalled it, to no effect. This particular installation of FF is on a 2.1 Ghz Compaq EVO desktop with XP SP3 & lots of HD room. I'm an A+ certified guy with 20 yrs PC/NB/Server experience, raised on DOS.

- Make sure that you not run Firefox in Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode
- In Private Browsing mode some menu items are disabled (grayed) and features like visited links are disabled and not showing
- You are in Private Browsing mode if you see "Tools > Stop Private Browsing", possibly grayed
