MacBook Air running 15.7, Thunderbird 128.11.1

open Thunderbird, downloads new mails from server Thunderbird open on Mac, can not download new mail 

-tried link (cloud down arrow on left side)
-tried menu file/get new messages/ "account"
I think this happened after I updated to 128

NEED FIX, pain in the ass to have to quit and restart thunderbird to get my new mail messages.
