On my various tablets I can set how long for the display to stay lit when not being actively used. My brand new laptop with Windows 10 keeps going dark after a few minutes. I haven't been able to find anything that addresses this. How can I change this?

That sounds like a power issue not a Browser issue. You should check how your laptop power settings are when plugged in and when using battery.

Thanks, I knew it was a power problem, I was just unable to find the right spot in settings to deal with it.. I just recently gave up on my faithful Windows 7 and 10 is every bit as different as I was afraid it would be. I really don't see the need for a lot of the changes; things were working just fine as they were and I had them all memorized.. I think it's simply a form of employment guarantee: as long as you're making chances they have to keep you around. Whether or not the changes are for the better never enters the equation.
