Crashing and Plug In Container exe
Windows Xp 32 bit, Avast security. Ever since your last (2) updates my page will crash anywhere, e mail, Facebook, etc. Most importantly, I constantly have my entire page disappear & the Error Plug In container .exe crashed. Before those (2) updates I NEVER had either problem. I have used Safe mode. Uninstalled, reinstalled Flash. reset Firefox, Uninstalled & reinstalled Firefox. Do you have any more suggestions? I would like to go back before those (2) updates. I don't remember what "Number" that was. Is that possible? This is driving me crazy!!!!!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
While still in Safe Mode,
In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY ALL OF THESE WEREN'T REPORTED. WHERE DO I GO TO FIND OUT IF I HAVE " CRASH REPORTS" TURNED ON?????
Type about:preferences#advanced<enter> in the address bar.
Select Data Choices. Turn on Enable Crash Reporter.
Go thru the December reports, and click on them to submit them. Then post the list for December with the new numbers.

Hi Elaine, sorry for the long wait! We're volunteers so it's hard to respond to everyone. But I do have a solution for you. Please check your private message and try my steps there.
Well, now it's been 2 weeks. The plug in is still crashing. I still have not heard from anyone, but Noah. My entire computer was swept. It's not me. I'm guessing a lot more people have this problem. I can't tell you how annoying it is. Please respond.

A crash report from 1/7/2016 shows a Flash induced crash - an older version of Flash (_267) than the current 20.0.0.286 version. Please update Flash.
Also provide 5 or 6 more current Crash Report ID's. Note the date of "collection" for the data. And for Reports that weren't submitted, just click on those reports to submit that to the Crash Reports system today.
20.0.0.286 This is the Flash player I have installed. I checked. I have Crash Report "clicked" on Firefox. I don't know why they are not reporting. But, there would be NO crash report if the Plug in Container exe crashes, would there. That is what's happening.
Fred, I was told 2 weeks ago, the Big Guys were being called. So far, NOTHING!
