email rec'd "A device began syncing with the devices connected to your Firefox account" Please explain
What is going on with my Firefox account? I received an email as follows: "A device began syncing with the devices connected to your Firefox account". If this is a security issue, Firefox is history on all of my computers. Please explain what is going on here quickly. I think I will delete the entire Firefox browser and start over again with someone else. I can't take chances with my information.

This is not a security issue. I have confirmed with the Mozilla Sync team that this is a expected email when turning on Sync in Firefox on a new computer, tablet or phone. In the future, they will stop sending this type of email to avoid worrying people.

I do not want anything to sync with any other devices associated with my Firefox account. NOTHING! NOWHERE! NO HOW! FOR ANY REASON! PERIOD!!!! How do I make that happen?

If it is not a security issue that is a relief. So now, how do I turn it off if I don't want the sync in Firefox turned on. I don't need it and I don't want it. So do I have to have it if I want to use Firefox? I don't know what it does and I don't want to know except that I know I don't want it and I want it turned off. How do I accomplish that
The good news it's not mandatory. So you don't need it if you want to use Firefox.
To turn off Sync: On all your devices, log out of your Sync Account. If it's only on one computer, click the 3 lines menu button , look for a email address and click on it. It's near the bottom of the menu above the "Customize" choice. It will be in this spot but will be your email instead:
A new tab should open with detailed info about your Sync account. Then click the Disconnect button. Next go to https://accounts.firefox.com and log into your account. Click the Settings link, there will be a button or link to delete your account. Click it. Once that's done, close Firefox.
You should be free of Sync now. :)
