Toolbar - right clicking on bookmarks not working

I can no longer right click on bookmarks that are placed in my toolbar. When I try, I receive a small white square and sometimes rectangular box. I cannot figure out how to take a screen capture of this issue, sorry.

Example - I have a folder with a few bookmarks within located on my toolbar. I used to right click on that toolbar folder and choose to open in new tabs. It was quite handy :)

I am not having any problems right clicking on any page or any other thing on my browser.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
