I have twice created a new address book, but when I return to Thunderbird the next day the address book has disappeared

I create a new address book in Thunderbird. I add several email addresses to that book. I close Thunderbird at the end of the day. When I open Thunderbird the next day,… (xle nububuwo)

I create a new address book in Thunderbird. I add several email addresses to that book. I close Thunderbird at the end of the day. When I open Thunderbird the next day, the new address book has disappeared. Any idea what I am doing wrong, missing?

My Address Book appears to be old and out of date. How can I fix it?

My Address Book appears to be old and out of date. There's at least 10 years of emails in there somewhere. Random old emails are there, but what's visibile is not reall… (xle nububuwo)

cardbook edits not saved

Needed to edit an address. 2 problems: 1. somehow part of the address appears in the drop-down = home/work/mobile. How do I delete it? 2. edits are not saved (yes I have clicked save). Permissions all seem good.
