When sending an email using the keyboard shortcut, the settings tell me that I can set TB to give me a confirmation prompt. Why can't I get a confirmation prompt when using the Send button? Is there any way to make TB do that?

I set TB to run a spell check before sending, and that gives me an opportunity to cancel the Send operation. But it only works if the email contains a misspelling.

I've never blocked images from loading (and I did check my settings and they haven't changed) but now many of my emails now have all images blocked just showing empty squares where the images should be. What happened?

I have been trying to filter out and delete emails with certain URLs in the HTML section of the body of the message.

I can get the Body filter to activate and delete the email if I send the specified URL within a simple text message. So the Body filter can activate on sequences in the text part of a multimode or simple text email.

It doesn't, however, seem to activate for the thing I truly need, which is to see a URL (or other sequence) in the HTML part of a multimode. It appears to ignore the HTML section.

Would it be possible to either:

1) allow the current Body filter to scan all parts of a multimode message? OR

2) create a new filter, perhaps named Rawbody, or Raw, etc., which doesn't break down and separate the parts of a multimode first, but simply does a raw scan of the entire body: text, HTML, and all?

Thunderbird Email - I am not receiving emails from my energy supplier (E.ON Next) - they say they bouncing. This started around Jan 25. I have spoken to them many time but no joy. E.ON receive emails I have sent to them and I am able to receive emails from just about anyone else eg shop, banks, contacts, etc etc . Can you help me fix this/explain why it is happening? My cat laid too close to my keyboard (i.e., by the control, shift, and windows button) and I am now unable to send messages from any of my email address in Thunderbird. I've checked the server settings and they all appear to be correct, but I keep getting the error message that connecting to the smtp failed. I'm receiving emails, but can't send them. Is there anything else that I might be missing apart from checking the server settings.

When I try to send an email I get this message

"Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Authentication required. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again."

My email address in my account settings is correct. What can I do?

Why do my new e-mails suddenly go immediately into my "Archive" folder and I have to transfer them to my InBox in the last few days? New e-mails have always gone into my InBox...until the last few days.

Problem in Thunderbird after creating a new email account from Proton Mail - Per9g@pm.me . Not receiving/not retrieving my emails from my email account, but can send emails from it. I seem to recall that in the past I was able to change my "From" email address to another one for a 1-time use. Either I forgot how to do that or that option is no longer available. Can you tell me how to do it? I want to use an address that cannot be tracked for some emails (xx@duck.com). Thanks.

I cannot download e-mail from Mozilla Thunderbird. It says "Done" in the lower left corner and will not download when I hit the Get Messages key in the upper right corner. Please help me to be able to download my email.

I have two Gmail email addresses. One is used for important messages. As of last Thursday I am not receiving some emails sent to this account. I asked sender to use secondary email and they come through. I’m very concerned that I’m missing important messages and need to get this corrected quickly. Please help if you can. If I need to delete Thunderbird I will but hope not.

This pop message appeared about 4 hours ago. I still cannot recieved email. Do you know why and how long it before the system is working again.

Can anyone please help me? I use Thunderbird email and for several weeks now I have been able to receive emails but not to send them. At first outgoing messages were refused with the messages "rejected by outgoing server." The outgoing server is PlusNet. I sought help from PlusNet and after several days they told me the problem was connected with their migrating email business to a third party, but was now solved. For a few hours I was able to send messages, soon reverted to the situation where incoming messages are received but outgoing messages are rejected. This time the rejection messages say "rejected due to internal server error." But surely, PlusNet IS the outgoing server? I give up. and PlusNet is hard to contact, they don't seem to accept emails anyway. So can any other TB user advise me, and am I the only one with this problem? PeterB

I suddenly cannot send e-mails, as an alert appears that says I have to change my message in that what I am sending might be a scam or questionable, which it never is. Also, all of my new e-mails are going to "Archive" and always has gone into my InBox directly, until now. What is going on, and how can I change it?
