I recently downloaded and installed the update to Firefox browser. After installation I find that all my bookmarks (and I mean ALL) are gone. They are gone completely. First time that has happened with an update. Very frustrating!! I had a lot of bookmarks. Lots of music and specific web sites that I frequently use. Now they are gone. Totally disappeared What happened? Is there any chance for recovery. The installation instructions say that I will not lose any data, etc., etc. And I believed it.

Hi all, I'm using Firefox 140.0.4 (64-bit) on Debian Trixie and I'm getting a weird behavior with the auto-complete functionality of the address bar.

If I type the first character the address gets auto filled (see 20250711_First-character-auto-fill-working.png attachment), then if I type the second character the auto filled result disappears (see 20250711_Second-character-auto-fill-NOT-working.png).

I've tried any search option combination, but results doesn't change. At the moment I'm using for the address bar just "Browsing history" (see 20250711_Address-bar-settings.png).

The correct behavior would be, as in the past, that new characters confirming the address would leave things as they are. Do you have any suggestion on how to restore the original behavior?

How to whitelist a site to give location access? I have gone to the Location tab in settings, but it will not allow me to enter a URL/domain that I want to whitelist.

I had to reset Firefox because of a hack to my FB account. I've recreated all of the icons I use but Gmail won't add since Google doesn't think my desktop is one of my devices. I can receive Gmail if I use Chrome. I've tried reaching Google by leaving messages @ the Freemont office in Seattle but thought maybe Mozilla had an answer. Thanks for listening.

Firefox is asking for stored payment method information for the user "Carla Clarke" to allow me to sign up for Astrodienst (an Astrology Site). I keep a paper file for a my passwords, but I can't find one for Firefox.

I made the mistake to following Mozilla's advice on why my tabs stopped coming back after I closed out, despite the fact that I had that selected in my settings. Now I'm stuck with an "Old Firefox Data" folder on my desktop and I can't remove it because I need administrator privileges -- but it's my personal PC. WTF

this is the third time i have asked this. I love firefox but your latest updates have slowed down firefox and does things on its own like it has Ai. Google changes like this too and I will no longer us google. if nothing else let me download an older firefox. Rich Stonehouse

I use Proton Pass to manage my passwords. This option has mysteriously vanished from available options. Should I simply stop using Firefox? It's not working very well since I have to fight to enter an updated password. I'm MORE THAN disappointed to learn no one is available too help!!!
